View Full Version : TV Shows you are embarrassed to watch
Are there any TV shows that you are completely embarrassed to watch, but just can't stop watching?
One for me would be Mutant X. It is the stupidest show ever, but the special effects are so cheesy to be laughable, and the lead chick on that show is very hot. There's another one I'm embarrassed to watch, but I don't want to reveal it unless this thread gets off the ground. It's too embarrassing.

WWE Smackdown
but for other TV shows for me I'd have to say Newlyweds and Real World(or however you spell it)

I tried watching Mutant X when it started. It was so godawful I dunno why I kept putting it on while I was working sunday afternoons.
But I openly admit all the crap I've watched because I know I'm not the only one who's seen it.

Even Stevens on the Disney Channel. What's worse is that it's on at midnight and I actually stay up to watch it. I've got my fingers crossed that one day the Stevens clan will be able to straighten out the irascible Louis.

Man, there is some real crap you guys are watching.
One show I'll stay on if I come across it is that Celebrity Exposed show on E! that shows all the drunks on Hollywood Blvd. I'm not proud, but it is fun to watch.

It's like television cocaine.

I forgot about a saturday real world marathon. If i was out late drinking the night before and I am hung over or just drained, I will literally lay in bed all day and just stare at that crap, hating myself every minute but being unable to turn it off.
I never watch road rules though.

Lauren Graham is pretty hot but there is something about her daughter on the show that makes me want her.

Tell me about it.
I'm also addicted to several TLC shows: Trading Spaces, What Not to Wear, For Better or for Worse, A Dating Story, A Wedding Story, and that new dating show where they give a person a makeover and dating tips

I liked the first season of What Not To Where. The guy Wayne made the show watchable, but the woman was a twat, so what do they do? Replace the guy and make the show unwatchable.

The best "What Not To Wear" is the one they show on BBC America. The ladies are funny and unabashed in their commentary.

While there are/were two shows I never miss (Sopranos and 24), and a couple of other good ones I will try and catch (Scrubs, Arrested Development, Simpsons), but I will stumble on lots of shit and just watch it because I love bad, or even sappy, television.
Aside from "my stories" (All My Children and now One Life to Live - damn you SOAP NET! FIVE YEARS SOAP FREE AND YOU DRUG ME BACK IN!!), the one show I'm really embarrassed to watch is that Canadian kids show, "Degrassi."
Ugh!

I should hate Monk, but I don't. Tony Shalhoub has always been a favorite of mine, it's funny to see "Buffalo Bill" from Silence of the Lambs be a lovable character, and this season, they're getting some cool guest stars.
Last week, Sarah Silverman was on, and now they have Snoop Dog!
