Though MTV has been able to make good comedies in the past (Election! is the only one I can think of now). Napoleon Dynamite isn't what Im looking for. Now it seems like if you just throw a dorky kid saying rebellious one-liners in a movie it is automaticly a coming of age great.

I suck. I didn't remember this thread so I started my own. Here's what I said.

Has anyone seen this yet? My little sister and I went last night and I loved it. It wasn't a masterpiece or anything but it was just original and different from the movies I've seen recently.

I recommend it and was curious as to what others think of it. I think we've all known someone like him in our lives.

Gonna have to to change my opinoin...sord of. It did have its funny moments, but I definetly wouldn't say original. A lot of Welcome to the Dollhouse humor only slightly modified. Nothing can touch those dance moves though.

This was probably the second worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I rented it last Tuesday because all I see are people quoting this movie non-stop, so I wanted to see what all the hype is about. All I can say is after the movie was over I wanted to sue the movie company for taking away 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. Absolutely horrendous.

Napoleon Dynamite was the biggest piece of dogshit I have ever been forced to watch in my life. Not only was it unfunny, but there was no music to the film, making it both uncomfortable to watch AND making it hard to not just stand up in the theater and go "THIS MOVIE FUCKING SUCKS!"

And you know a movie is bad when the only people that are laughing in the theater are the stupid 16 year old teenage girls who find the mexican kids mustache hysterical, and that one annoying guy that just LAUGHS and LAUGHS and LAUGHS.

Was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. Two thumbs up. Can't wait to see it again.

The lines from the movie are classic and can be used almost every day in normal conversations. I dont think there is one thing about this movie I did not like.

I just saw this movie this weekend. It was funny. Not the greatest comedy of all time, or not the worst. I laughed out loud at some parts. What really bothered me were people who told me "You're gonna love it, or you're gonna hate it" Fankly, I didn't love or hate it, i thought it was ok.

The one thing I'm noticing now is how many Quote/Pictures/Items from this movie are online. I had no idea what some people's sigs/t-shirt ads/people's quotes meant.

I guess if anything the movies a Required Watch to understand some tiny aspect of todays pop culture.

OK, I admit I'm late to the party on this topic but I just finished watching it and have to say that while it had a few moments that made me chuckle (and when I say "a few" I mean 1 or 2) overall it was a piece of crap.

Highlight of it was seeing that the little girl from "Waterworld" and "Corinna Corinna" looks EXACTLY the same way she did 10 years ago.

NAPOLEON DYN was a decent little movie. Worth seeing but, certainly not worth the rewatch.

BASEketball is fucking funny. Hilarious even.

The only people who hate BASEketball are the people who actually think DOGMA is funny. God damn that movie was a piece o' crap. Now I'm pissed.
