Surprise!!!

As usual , I checked my bank account this morning before leaving for work (today is payday). I got a mild shock....my usual pay was deposited but so was an extra $850!!!! What the hell????
So, I goes into work and ask my head nurse what the hell is going on...she smiles and tells me to call the chief nurse. I do that. She tells me that I was selected as Nurse of the Year in my clinic and that was my financial reward. I had no idea that this was even happening.....and I have been there only over a year!!!!!
Anywho, that was a nice surprise and the money really comes in handy since I am moving into a new apartment this weekend. Now I will end my own horn blowing....but it was a nice surprise to know that people appreciate me....even if you guys don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I kid alot about my nursing job. But I wasn't always a nurse. Before that, I was a detective with the NYPD. Now. that job, I was very proud of!! I feel that I had done alot of good for the people that I had helped!!! I don't talk about that job much since it was very personal to me and some of the things that I have been involved in are not something that I would write about. All I can say is that I like being a nurse but I loved being a cop. Maybe one or two of you will be influenced by this and become a Police Officer and serve your fellow citizens!!!! And remember......keep your eyes peeled for Mojo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Granted, I needed a running start and could have never done it in a game (I hate basketball, I was a wrestler), but I did it to shut up one of the 5 black kids in my school who continually tried to remind me how white kids have no ups.
