That sppech on Smackdown was golden. I agree with almost everything he said. This speech sounded a lot like it was more from the heart than something that was scripted for him.

I was so pissed at the crowd when they started booing and chanting Eddie when he mentioned a soldier dying in Afghanistan. Who the fuck are these people. There should have been silence when he talked about that.

How weird is it, when a heel gives a speech where you totally agree with him

Totally agree with you...and him. I thought he was right on about most of his points on the media were right on and the line about free speech was just great. "Everyone loves free speech, until somebody uses free speech." Shit thats made it into my signature now...

I heard that UPN had edited a lot of the speech. Anyone know of any truth to that?

"Snootch to the nootch."

What an ass. He can say whatever he wants, but CNBC is free to fire whoever they want.

And his rant on liberal media is so incredibly stupid. The two netwroks he worked for, CNBC and Fox News are probably the two most conservative networks around. People like him are all about personal responsibility as long as he doesn't have to be responsible himself.

I think the speech they he gave was absolutely appalling. It seemed like it was trying to spin into something about free speech and all this other bullshit. His right to free speech isn't guaranteed in foreign countries. He started spinning into what happened with Sean Penn going Iraq and all this other bullshit He made a dick head move he should just step and admit to it.

I didn't hear Stern this morning but his website covers the JBL interview like this:

WWE wrestler and former CNBC analyst Bradshaw came in to discuss his firing from CNBC. CNBC knew that Bradshaw was a wrestler and played a racist character but they fired him after he gave the "Sieg Heil Germany" while wrestling. Howard thinks that's ludicrous because he was playing a character, he was acting. Bradshaw agreed, saying it is like blaming Anthony Hopkins for being Hannibal Lector. Bradshaw pointed out a funny aspect of his racist character. He sometimes uses excerpts and ideas from speeches by Pat Buchanan when he yells out his racist comments

edit: what?

Probably? Definitely! I chose to change the channel when I saw him making his appearance, so I didn't hear the rant. I heard others takes on it, but I can not get into as I have not listened to it. But I will say this, just the fact that the fed would allow him to pull a reprehensible act into the development of his on air character is disgusting. I don't know what else to say.

Look at some of you getting your panties in a twist over a wrestling promo.

Although this thread did bring about one of the rare wrestling-folder appearances of Hbox.

Here's who I feel bad for: Eddie Guerrero. Because if last night's Smackdown was any indication of their current plans, once he gets done with Bradshaw he's going to have to try and carry a feud with Mordecai.

Oh, that's something that scared me. Why the hell would they even let a guy who did nothing but squash matches with cruiserweights, even breathe the same air as the champ? This is down right nonsense. The entire "Undertaker-lite" idea is stale and pointless. And to top it off, they aren't doing anything much to at least make it tolerable. Add Kenzo Suzuki and Jindrak to the list and you have three new unbearable gimmicks that do nothing for ANY of the parties involved including the fans. This is friggin nonsense.

One of things I hate about Bradshaw is when he tries to trash Mexican people. He says certains like Mexicans are lazy and freeloading off the U.S. I mean Mexicans come to this country and do jobs that most Americans wouldn't do in the first place.

Oh, that's something that scared me. Why the hell would they even let a guy who did nothing but squash matches with cruiserweights, even breathe the same air as the champ?

Because they have NOTHING in the way of heels these days. Big Show is out until August or September recovering from his surgery. Lesnar's gone. Angle's on the shelf for god knows how long, and frankly, the man should just retire. So they have to elevate someone, and since they've even gutted their midcard heels (much as I'm indifferent towards Rhyno and A-Train, can it be said that there was ANY sense into moving both men - who could easily be sold as credible mid-card heels - to waste away on the RAW b-shows?), they have to do SOMETHING, and as a result we get perennial midcarders like Bradshaw elevated to the main event.

I'm not in favor of them pushing Mordecai so strong, especially in such a short amount of time, but who else do they have? Booker T is pretty much it, and frankly is the smart choice to present as the new top heel (he's more established than anyone else they've got now), but they've got him stuck in a feud with Cena (another top face they don't know what to do with). So they're stuck.

No, they do jobs that American's would do, but they do it for less than minimum wage, forcing us out of our spots.

Not all Mexican's mind you, but, if we are grouping everyone in....
