The movie mountain climbers and mountain climbing wannabe's like me waited for is out on DVD. Basically the guys who had a horrific climbing disaster retell the tale, and they shot a movie re-creating the event around the narration.
Touching the Void sorta just came and went on theatres, but the reviews about the Siula Grande disaster were almost universally positive, what these two men went through goes from 'Holy Shit!' to 'no way in Hell will he/they survive that.' I mean it gets to a point where you're like, how much worse can it Possibly get? And it keeps getting worse and worse, and these guys, who went through this for real; re-telling it, makes for one of the best flicks I've seen in a long time.
Trailer Here; has three different download speeds (http://www.pathefilms.co.uk/touching_the_void/)
IMDB Entry (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379557/)
