Happy 100th Bloomsday to all those who showed up for their comparative lit classes in college. Have a gorgonzola cheese sandwich for lunch, get your swerve on at a brothel, go pee in somebody's garden or just go home to your horny wife but enjoy!

Summary for those who have no idea what I'm talking about (http://www.infoplease.com/spot/bloomsday.html)

A funny parody for those who do (http://www.bway.net/~hunger/ulysses.html)

In Dublin on O'Connell street, the main street, there is a statue of James Joyce, shown in his traditional garb and cane.

The locals aren't crazy about it and call the statue "The Prick With The Stick".

I prefer the short story "Araby" to Ulysses, but to each their own.

there are people in 1904 costume cycling around dublin, with police escorts. this is just dungeons and dragons for literary fans. the main organisers have not ever read the book
