Looks fucking awesome. I can't wait to see it, Michael Moore is always interesting.

By the way. Does anyone know the song playing at the end of the trailer?

I gotta admit, that was friggin hilarious.

I think Moore fudges the numbers at best and outright lies at worst, but he is a neccessary part of an open and free society. I'm pretty excited about seeing this.

Can't wait to see this.

Anything that makes people who haven't even seen it so scared that they are going out of their way to disparage it must be big fun.

Has it been mentioned anywhere here that Moore actually interviewed Nick Berg when he was still in Arlington; how Berg admitted about being nervous about going over, etc, etc, but (for whatever reason) didn't include it in the movie?

(Not a shock, considering how much footage needs to be brought together to make a documentary, that most of it is left out).

Moore could have easily inserted it back into the film, since he was busy editing it right up until the last minute. He could have also slipped it to the media, and no doubt made a small fortune, and gotten a lot of publicity. Instead, he quietly gave it to the Berg family - and they were the ones who brought it up what had happened.

Moore isn't the best documentary filmmaker today - not on par, in my opinion, with Barbara Kopple, Errol Morris, or even Ross McElwee - but he's a hellova lot better than that over rated piece of shit Nick Broomfield, who made one good movie, or the half dozen trendy filmmakers who use docs to get their foot in the door, so they can go on and direct garbage like the Blair Witch sequel or Candadian Bacon...oh wait...Michael Moore directed that didn't he?? - what was my point? Oh yea - Moore makes good films.

(His next film scheduled is called "Sicko," by the way, and will focus on the American healthcare system).

Anyway, should be fun - hopefully it will cause some discussion - ultimately, though, he's preaching to the choir.

Hey, he can preach all he want, and "Sicko" sounds more like what he's best at...going after a UNIVERSAL target on the behalf of the "little guy."

Ever since he became Mr. Partisan, he's rarely met a fact he didn't try to skew to portray the Right as bad as possible. I WANT him to be right, but he's not, end of story.

Just hop on over to SpinSanity.com (http://www.spinsanity.com) and type his name in the search engine and you'll see that in recent years he's just as bad as the lying conservative pundits he's always decrying.

And I'm not saying documentaries can't be biased towards the filmmakers' intentions, or have to be 100% correct...but compare his latest works with American classics "Roger & Me" and "The Big One" or his first book "Downsize This!" The differences and changes are glaring and disheartening.

And NOBODY has ever acclaimed Nick Broomfield for ANYTHING.

So, did W talk to reporters about terrorits and then hit a golf ball? That does seem a bit odd. And I didn't see a cut in that shot so was that an edit?

From what I remember the shot is exactly how it happened. Bush did his little terror speech then went back to the golf.

Not a comparison, or maybe, but for a different reason, but DDE played literally about 800 rounds of golf as Prez, and in one calendar year as Prez was on a course for 150 out of 365 days.

Nice!

Of course, Dwight was just about dragged kicking and screaming; he did Not want to be prez, the pressure just got to him, i guess.

This girl I've been seeing (girlfriend or fuckbuddy? We'll let Mojo and Tool figure it out) who is extremely liberal, asked me if I was going to see it. Now I'm no Rush, but most of my political leanings are to the right (more of an O'Reilly I guess) so I said, "Maybe when it comes out on DVD" which she replied "Wrong answer" I found out the right answer was "Of course! In fact you and I will go opening night!"

Needless to say, I now have plans for June 25. I'm a fucking disgrace to myself, to conservatives, and to men in general everywhere. But at least I'm gettin' some.

They reported - we decided.

I've also heard from a couple of sources that the footage of Bush with the school children is some of the most compelling in the film. It's amazing that we get to see the unedited, unfiltered version of a crucial moment of that horrible day.

This is hilarious.

Guess who's helping Moore's "documentary" in Lebanon? (http://www.hiff.fi/uutiset/?id=20040609fahren).

Scroll down the page a bit to see the English translation.

A very interesting development:

In terms of marketing the film, Front Row is getting a boost from organisations related to Hezbollah which have rung up from Lebanon to ask if there is anything they can do to support the film. And although Chacra says he and his company feel strongly that Fahrenheit is not anti-American, but anti-Bush, "we can't go against these organisations as they could strongly boycott the film in Lebanon and Syria."

Too fucking funny.

Now Moore IS a long-term Arab supporter, so doing what he can to make sure they see the film doesn't surprise me. (One of the terms on his contract for Roger And Me was that the only way it could be shown in Israel is if the Palestinians could see it whenever and whereever they wished).

However, Hezbollah supporting the movie does kind of surprise me, and would disgust me if Moore was still capable of such a thing, as he is the type of person who always talks about how people on the right destroy lives through commerical means (Reagan's financial policies supposedly destroying his hometown of Flint, MI, etc.) and harps on gun policiy in the US leading to deaths, so I find it ironic that he'd let his film be promoted by people who have actively taken part in the killing of hundreds of US citizens.
