Warner is an outstanding quarterback, but the NFL caught him at the end of his prime. If nothing else, he will be a huge boost for Manning.

Sure hope Jesse Palmer found true love, because with two draft picks & former MVP on the roster the next thing you'll be loking for is a J-O-B.
I'm not a big fan of Warner, but at least if Eli's not ready (or, God forbid, hurt) there won't be the guaranteed 100% failure that came off the bench last year when Collins went down.

How much faith do you think the Giants can put in a guy they sacked 6 times and gave a concussion to in the first game last year? I'm just not sure if he's the kinda quarterback I could rally around if it was my team.

If Eli Manning isn't ready, Kurt is going to start kids. The Giants and Coughlin are not going to let Manning start if he sucks in training camp. They do not want to embarrass themselves. He mightn't be the worst thing....if his thumb isn't fucked up

I heard that the Giants are like 8.5mil under the cap so look for a couple more moves.

The Giants can be 50 million under the cap, ain't going to change the fact that there are no quality O-line free agents out there.

Warner is crazy. He told Dan Patrick that he wants to start for another 3-5 years, then if Eli's ready, let him takeover.

Too bad the Giants had to put the little Kittner boy on waivers to make room for Warner.

Warner looked to have a slight 'ego' problem and wanted to start even though he was really sucking. I wonder if he'll be happy being a backup or will he secretly be hoping the kid gets an ACL?

at least palmer is gone now. i say fuck it, warner is motivated, so he'll do his best. its not like we were winning anything this year with collins, so i dont really care.
ill look foward to 05

i half agree with snoogs, but kermit made a point about a few more moves. the giants need a line, desperately.

Here is the real dilema. Say Eli needs 5-6 games to really get it down. Then, by game 6, he is ready to go. What if Warner is hot, like 5-1 or 6-0(I have no idea what the Giants schedule looks like and I am to lazy to look it up). Will they keep Warner in, or pull him for Eli?

They have been talking on ESPN radio that he is hit shy. They looked at some films and said it may be sub-conscious, but when the rush is on he is ducking for no reason. You have got to respect what he did, 2 MVP's and all those yards and touchdowns. Do I think he will ever be like that again. NO. Do I think he could start this year as a Giant and lead them to a season over .500, YES.
Good Point about Vinny, btw.

If we still had our 1 i would say put Eli in. No matter how bad we do. We will get a great pick and another player. But now that we do not. I say go for it try to win and make that pick as low as possible. Then Eli in 05.

Also, this signing might appease the veterans who were getting all pissy about having a rookie quarteback when they think they are a "now" team. I myself am glad the Giants signed Kurt WarnBer.

If he flops for the Giants, maybe the NYDragons have a chance to sign him.
And for his wife, yes I'd hit it. Too bad she doesn't grow her hair longer.

If the offensive line can finally fucking stop someone, Warner won't be a problem.
Or, we need a QB like Michael Vick who can run all over the place until he has a chance to throw the ball.
I sure hope the OL can stop people because we don't have a Michael VICK.
