If this is true, it's a bad move for Kerry, but one that I have to say I probably would have done if I were in his position. Sampley is a total asshole and the only reason that he is an MIA family member is because he married the daughter of a POW.

That, and he fucked with McCain. That's an excellent way to get on my bad side.

If there was a non-Photochopped picture He would have my vote right now. He'll still probably get it because Bush isn't looking good.

He cheated his way into office after losing in 2000 then lied to us about everything including a fucking turkey! Now that was a stupid fucking thing to lie about. He was in iraq and he did hold somthing that looked like a turkey, afterwards those soldiers had turkey, Why not just let Bush hold a real turkey for the photo-op? I don't expect him to carve it, but is a real cooked turkey a security risk? How about the risk of having him in iraq where no one is really safe.

Motherfucker just lost my vote as I think about his dumb ass lying about a fucking Dinner Platter. And "falling" off his bike. Dumb ass. Unless it turns out Kerry killed Laci Peterson or Raped Kobe's "Victim/accuser" Then he's got my vote, just by default.

Didn't somebody here check the Weather Channel after it was said that rain had "loosened the topsoil" that caused Bush's bike crash, and that it hadn't rained by his ranch for like two weeks?

It's a small thing and pretty non-important, but it amused me, if it was truly the case.

And to completely derail this thread into anti-Bush mode, here is another lie:

George W. Bush last Feburary, on Meet The Press (emphasis added):

Russert: If the Iraqis choose, however, an Islamic extremist regime, would you accept that, and would that be better for the United States than Saddam Hussein?

President Bush: They're not going to develop that. And the reason I can say that is because I'm very aware of this basic law they're writing. They're not going to develop that because right here in the Oval Office I sat down with Mr. Pachachi and Chalabi and al-Hakim, people from different parts of the country that have made the firm commitment, that they want a constitution eventually written that recognizes minority rights and freedom of religion.

George W. Bush yesterday , Rose Garden press conference:

Q Thank you, Mr. President. Mr. Chalabi is an Iraqi leader that's fallen out of favor within your administration. I'm wondering if you feel that he provided any false information, or are you particularly --

THE PRESIDENT: Chalabi?

Q Yes, with Chalabi.

THE PRESIDENT: My meetings with him were very brief. I mean, I think I met with him at the State of the Union and just kind of working through the rope line, and he might have come with a group of leaders. But I haven't had any extensive conversations with him.
...

Q I guess I'm asking, do you feel like he misled your administration, in terms of what the expectations were going to be going into Iraq?

THE PRESIDENT: I don't remember anybody walking into my office saying, Chalabi says this is the way it's going to be in Iraq.

I can't tell whether this one is a lie or a flip-flop.

'I Was Never Angry with the French,' Says Bush (http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml;jsessionid=2JDE5BSNLIDU0CRBAEZSF FA?type=politicsNews&storyID=5326445)

President Bush said he was never angry with France over its refusal to back the U.S.-led war in Iraq, as both countries sought to play down past tensions ahead of the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

"I was never angry with the French. France is a long-term ally," Bush told the weekly Paris Match in an interview due to be published on Thursday.

http://www.ccmep.org/2003_articles/Iraq/042603_bush_on_a_revenge_mission.htm

American anger at France over its refusal to support war in Iraq reached new heights yesterday when President George Bush took a direct swipe at President Chirac.
"I doubt he'll be coming to the ranch any time soon," was Mr Bush's tart comment in an interview with NBC News, when asked about Jacques Chirac - a reference to the informal summits Mr Bush likes to hold with favored foreign leaders at his cherished retreat in Crawford, Texas. Many in his administration - by implication, himself among them - had the impression "that the French position was anti-American", the President said.

The latest warnings of retaliation against Paris only underscore that acute strains in the Western alliance have not ended with victory in Iraq. Although Colin Powell, the US Secretary of State, made moves last night to repair relationships with countries in North and South America and in the Middle East, in the case of France, they may be about to worsen.

In Paris, one French official was told by a White House official that "I have instructions to tell you our relations have been degraded", while senior Bush aides met on Monday to decide on the nature of the punishment.

I'm scanning the article and I can't seem to find anything on Freedom Fries.

Of course not, because they aren't mentioned. Let me ask you - when you hear the old saying, don't count your chickens before they hatch, do you look up with a dumb, blank expression and think to yourself, "I don't have no chickens, so that don't apply to mees."

Of course not, you know perfectly well what it means. And you know perfectly well what I meant. At least I hope you do. I assumed - maybe I was mistaken, but I assumed - that my concise reference to freedom fries would be enough to evoke memories in the members of RF.net of the general attitude towards France taken by our government, led by George W. Bush, and their dittocephalic followers. So either I overestimated the members here, or there is one member who didn't get my point, or you're just playing dumb. Or maybe you're on the drugs, and your memory has suffered as a result. I wonder what it is?

Since I'm not really sure, allow me to spell things out even further. On June 2, 2004, President George W. Bush said, "I was never angry with the French."

This contrasts with events of little over a year ago, when the same President Bush said of French President Jacques Chirac, "I doubt he'll be coming to the ranch any time soon."

This was followed by the accusation, "the French position was anti-American."

This certainly reflects the position of an angry man, would you not agree?

President Bush's anger was confirmed by a French official who was told by a White House official - now remember, I know this is complicated, but George W. Bush is in charge of the White House - that "I have instructions to tell you our relations have been degraded."

This would reinforce our understanding that Bush was, in fact, angry at France.

So if he was angry at France in April of 2003, clearly he was lying when in June of 2004 he said he was never angry with the French. Or perhaps he was feigning anger last year, and he's telling the truth now. Either way, he's lying somewhere. Or, just pulling the old flip-flop, which I hear is bad too.

since when does flipping off kids make you a bad president anyway? I hear Abe Lincoln once ate a kid. Or maybe that was Bigfoot......but John Kerry aint no Bigfoot.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I like that John Kerry is as unpresidential/offensive as he is. I like him better than Clinton or Gore anyway. He does stuff that isn't considered presidential, but that makes me like him better. If this was March 1st, I'd vote for him in the primary because he actually seems to be a guy that i like on a level above "well he's not Bush".
