Broken

Today at work, my 8 year old student fractured my middle right finger. I was bending over to physically prompt him to sit correctly on a scooter board, when he rolled right over my finger. He was exhibiting behaviors that I was going to correct. The PT didn't know what to do, and it took everything I had not to cry. They sent me to the ER to get it x-rayed, and now I have a splint on. Because of the type of children I work with, they reccomended to be out of work for 4 days, but I want to go back on Wed. because we are going to Friendly's for lunch. I have to see an orthapedist (sp) tomorrow sometime. Oh well, now I will never complain about mere bites and scratches anymore!!

i remember when i fractured my finger...my soccer coach was practicing with me and one of the balls hit my finger wrong and i was in so much pain, he was like "suck it up" because goalies jam their fingers all the time. I caught a few more balls but the pain was just unbearable. my mom wouldnt even bring me to the dr becase she thought it was nothing until the next day when my finger was blue. i know how you feel!!!
