View Full Version : A battery powered vibrating razor...FINALLY!

So now Gillette, after making bundles on the Mach razor, akin to pharmaceuticals charging a lot due to research and development, is now coming out with a battery powered, vibrating razor.

Gillette will have to convince men that the premium system is worth 67% more for the shaver ($14.99 vs. $8.99 for the Mach3) and 15% more for the blade refills ($10.99 for four), plus one AAA battery.

Razors already cost way too much and why would I pay more for something that does the same job as a much cheaper product.
First the sensor, then the sensor excel, then the mach, then the mach 3, then came mach 3 excel, now the M3 Power. I stopped at the mach3.
Lets stop the maddness or at least slow down.

Im not sure exactly how this works (cuz I didnt read the post) but if its a vibrating RAZOR that might get kinda ugly for us guys who shave while we're still half asleep...

i believe i use the sensor excel and i try to buy the blades in Sams where you save a few bucks... to me this new product seems ridiculous but i guess it may work for some people. I felt it was a vast improvement when they went to slimmer heads and a double razor but feel it should end there...

the same thing goes for toothbrushes, diamond-shaped heads, rubber tips... a plain old toothbrush works fine, the trick is using it several times a day and getting all the areas, and flossing...

Maybe it was SNL, or one of the competition doing one, but I remember when the first "Double Edged" Razor came out, and the parody was, of course, the Three Blade Razor. Rediculous, right?

What are up to, four? five?

What the fuck was that Epilady thing?

and maybe an urban myth, but i hear the company that has the ads you see for the Nose Hair Trimmer? I hear that mailing list is one of the most sought after demographic buyer list ever, I guess coz people who are willing to buy that thing will buy about anything, I guess.

sounds like bullshit to me too.

If there's anything I think of when I want to shave my doo-dads, it's "razor" and "vibrating."

I keep looking for this thing, but cant find it. Gellette make good shit! Im sure that they thought it out so it doesnt cut you up. That Quattro razor was pretty good from that other company, cant remember the name, but it seemed to get dull pretty quick compared to the Mach 3 series.

i cant be upset with gilette. i stole a mach 3 from the grocery i worked at and they sent me a second one when i turned 18. 2 mach 3's and only money spent on blades. however ive begun stealing them from my dad so i no longer pay for shaving.

It must be tempting... but women: I know it vibrates, but KEEP IT OUT OF THERE! That's DANGEROUS.

It's not supposed to vibrate, it's supposed to lift the hair somehow. My dad gave me one today. He loves the Gilette products and buys each new one as they come out. I didn't shave today, but I'll let you all know how it goes tomorrow.

It just gets to the point with all of these razors, its a FUCKING razor! I got the original Mach 3 and tried that Champion thinger casue I wanted to feel like i meant something while I stood half naked in my boxers with shaving cream dripping all over my belly as I shaved my face. I'll just stick with the Original Recipe Mach 3.

On the other hand......

I LOVE VIBRATING THINGS IN MY MOUTH!

These things are great! Really helping to make brushing and flossing FUN again. Not to mention my dentist loves them too.

The shick quattro is for people with heavier beards - if you have sensitive skin or not a very heavy beard, DON'T USE IT.

I like the Mach 3 turbo. Vibrating doesn't sound good to me.

I'll probably get this.

I just recently switched over to the Mach 3, and I love it - it's the only straight razor I've found that does a decent shaving job without making my skin break out.

Wow!

Seriously, it did shave me in one pass and was only as hard and dragging it across my skin. It's no gimmic folks.

I tried mine out today too. It's a very smooth shave. Didn't feel it cutting the hairs the way the regular Mach3/Turbo do. Just gotta get used to it shaking in your hand the whole time.

Definitely two thumbs up!

Today was my first day as an official product tester for the Gillette Corporation. They gave me $25 just for showing up and filling out some forms. I signed up to do a dental study for their toothbrush line. The one I want is the shaving study. They had a 3 week study that they paid $625 to participate in.
