I love the Yankees, but . . .

For some reason this season I'm a lot more interested in the Mets. I don't watch any of it on TV, but given the choice of listening to the Mets or Yanks on the radio, I've been choosing the Mets everytime. Hell, I listen to the FAN even during the Yankee games. I don't know what it is. I love the Yanks, I want them to win, but I'm just not that interested in listening to the games. I had the opportunity earlier this season to go to one of the Yankee - Red Sox games, and it was great, even though they lost. I would never pass that up. Maybe I'm just jaded and my interest will pick up towards the end of the season. I'm not sure. I guess the Mets are playing a more exciting, though not necessarily better executed, brand of ball.

Are you kidding? It's torture to try and watch or listen to a Mets game. Its so boring, its a go-nowhere team with horrific managment, a coach not fit for the team, there team batting average is a remarkably bad .245, they dont score any runs.

you want to know why you enjoy watching the mets? cause their not supposed to win every game. and theyve scratched out wins in exciting fashion. the yankees have no excuse to why their not at least at .800. they have a lineup that could have have knocked in 15 runs off of cy young in his prime.

the mets with a mediocre lineup have produced exciting baseball. from matsui's hr off the first mlb pitch he ever saw to the fact that trax had seven innings of scoreless ball, and the mets lost a 1-0 game last night.

Yeah, I NEVER heard a Yankee announcer do that. To be honest, I don't mind Singleton, Mercer or Kaat. I can't stand Kay, Steiner or Sterling. Just like I not a fan of Fran Healy and Ted Robinson is OK. But Gary Cohen is very good. And he rips the Mets all the time.

Sterling sucks as an announcer. I heard him last week go like "it is high...it is far.....(pause). it's just foul and caught". Bad. You are an announcer and need to describe the action, not do your "yippy kay a mother f--ker" "do you feel lucky" "use the force" bullshit tagline. do your job.

Yankees are the best team ever....why do their fans need to insure that they are better than the Mets? You got a league MVP in Rodriguez and the NL MVP Sheffield, and Vazquez, and Kevin Brown, and you had to give up Pettite and Clemens because they had to get out of NY.

Everyone's like "Clemens left us and cheated us." Dude...he left Boston with a stop in Toronto for the benjamins and then came to NY to catch the bus to a championship. How would you feel if Pettite went to Boston? that's the equalivant.
