<p>I've been unsuccessfully searching the internet for the past couple of days for musgshots. I know they're public record. Is there a place I can get them online. BTW - I'm not talking famous people. I'm looking for images of friends that I know exist in some legal database somewhere. I'd even pay the $29.99 that mugshots.com charges if I knew they would give me what I was looking for, but I'm skeptical.</p><p>So what do I do when I have odd requests?</p><p>I post it on ronfez.net and cross my fingers.</p><p>I'm hoping one of you knows where I can grab them from.&nbsp;</p>

you can go to your local police house, station, precint, etc and confess to a crime.&nbsp; they will give you the mugshots.&nbsp;

I did a lot of searching a while back and the only sites I could find were pay sites.

<p>&nbsp;I just did another search. I wanted to see if I could find one of my mug shots. I typed in the name of the county and &quot;mug shots&quot; in Google. The first couple of listings were for the pay sites, but further down I found a link to that county's official site. It actually is possible to obtain it from that county.</p><p>&nbsp;The rules are different for different jurisdictions, but it worked for that one. Give it a try. I used the contact email on the website and sent them an email asking how to get it. I'll let you know if it works.</p>

I beg to differ, I got in trouble in Lynchburg, Virginia for getting mouthy with a pint sized patrolman and laughed my ass off through the entire mug shot process. I was slightly drunk and they put me in a holding cell with a gay black guy who was crying because he had broken the double digit barrier for drunk in public arrests. I could hear the cops laughing when I asked him "Well why don't you just drink at home?" When I started smiling in the mugshots, they asked me to stop and I just said, "I can't help it, this whole thing seems like a candid camera bit." So they let it go.
