i went horseback riding for the first time today

even a country bumpkin like me hasn't done it before today. it was a ton of fun, a good work out, and took a minute to get used to. here's a photo of me and blackjack:

edit: i'm probably just as big a country bumpkin as you, M1, but i've never been 'proper' horseback riding. Only once, I rode my track coach's horse around his yard, bareback. But it was for like 10 minutes and I felt like it was going to bolt for West Virginia at any moment.
