And if anyone deserves to go out on his own terms, it's Joe Paterno.
"If I wake up some morning and say someone else can do a better job, I'll tell Sue, `Let's go to Italy or maybe back to Brooklyn.' Either one of those two countries is good enough for me."

I'd hate to say it, but I think the game may have passed him by. He should go out with some dignity.

Just a quick addittion: we just recieved our first verbal commitment of the spring. The deciding factor for him to commit him was JoePa signing his extension. (an in case you think this was some borderline kid that actually still wants to play for Paterno, he had a scolarship offer from Michigan).
I think it's going to be an interesting season. There have been some significant changes in the program, starting with the offensive coordinator for the last 25+ years took a job in the athletic department and they brought in a guy from NFL Europe to replace him).
(And I know someone is going to jump on me for referring to PSU as 'we,' but god damn it, the cheer at the stadium is 'WE ARE... PENN STATE,' it just trains you to use the we.
