3 PM? Nice, that'll get some great ratings, especially on a Friday...

Well, it's the only thing they got right now. a 52 week deal, they see where they go, and since I know that they'll do great, they'll probably give them a better time slot later on.
And I know that Ron Fez Mark has got something to say about this.

There better be a replay, because that's 2 o'clock my time and I'm not shelling out money for a TiVo just for TNA.

I doubt the deal's for 52 weeks - and I don't think anyone should have too much optimism about this deal.
I like TNA, and Lord knows I want it to succeed, but this deal is awful, and almost doesn't look worth it.
The time slot is horrendous, but it's also not staggered for the West Coast - that means that the program will air at 12 p.m. in markets such as Los Angeles. When you look at it that way, the time slot becomes even worse.
And TNA is PAYING for this timeslot - estimates from Meltz are around something like 35k per show. I don't know if Panda is willing to commit that kind of bread in the long term for the show unless, somehow, they can turn a profit - and QUICK. Those tax breaks that corporations get for owning money-losing businesses don't last forever.

I,Max is on four times a day, plus a best of weekend show. I'd be happy with TNA reruns over the weekend.

and since I know that they'll do great
That's like saying a weekday baseball game gets good ratings. Most wrestling fans are out working (we hope) and wouldn't be home to watch. The only shows that do well are the ones geared towards housewives.
<img src="http://www.chaoticconcepts.com/bans/rfjustjon11.gif"><BR><A href="http://www.chaoticconcepts.com">Chaotic Concepts</a>
People forget that the shows being repeated are FSN shows, so they just throw it on when they have nothing else. If TNA is paying to put the show on the air, it's probably a similar deal, of sorts, to what the WWE has where they are responsible for most of the advertising. Don't expect it to be repeated.
And I don't think I get FSN, but if I did I would record it out of curiosity.

FSN has a lot of channels if you actually look into it, so most likely it will air at like 3 pm on each on of those channels, unless pre-empted for a game

This is only a start, not the best time but that is what they were dealt.
Things continue to improve and the set looks to be promising.

Just as an update, I'll be there for the June 1st taping of Impact. I'll be in Florida anyways and will be staying in Universal, even though it is a free show, so I figured I might as well check it out. Two enterance ramps and rumors of a six sided ring have hot me intrigued.

Feel fortunate if it airs at 3 p.m. in your market - it's going to air at 4 a.m. here in the D.C. area.
This is going to be a bloody disaster for them.

Has anyone even seen this thing? I have Fox Sports Net NY, and I'm not sure if that's my only Fox Sports Net channel, but anyway I didn't see the thing at 3. I checked on my schedule and it wasn't listed. I checked for the schedule of the entire day and it wasn't there. What's going on?

I saw it, and the wrestling was good. I fast fowarded through the sports entertainment segment with Jarrett and Dusty. The six-sided ring is pretty cool too.
It's on FSN New York Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m, click here (http://www.tnawrestling.com/news/2004/5/26/news.html) for the schedule.

TNAwrestling.com says that it's on at 2:30 on Tuesday on FSNY, but if you go to the scheduling at foxsports.com it says that it's on at 11:30 AM. Right now as I'm writing this at 9:12 in the morning, I'm going to watch it myself, even though I know what's going to happen. It'll be like watching Smackdown, except a lot less crappy.

I forgot it was even on, just remembered when I saw the thread.

can someone tape impact for me.
The six sided ring had me waiting for Zeus to come out and for Don West to start calling people Jock Ass. It actually made some of the moves look a little awkward. They really need to do something to make it be a need instead of just a gimmick. I like the ideas of the header and crawl at the bottom of the screen, but it tends to be distracting. Too much information to take in during a quick match.
I'll give it a chance.
