Loved the show Ralphy, thanks for the heads up. It was sad to see only Debbie with Chris Stein and Clem Burke. I thought the entire original group were back together. Oh well, at least they played "Rip Her To Shreds", one of my faves.
And yes, Deb looked GREAT!

DEVO! DEVO! DEVO!

He was a Mongoloid he was a Mongoloid; one Chromosome too many...

In ancient Rome, there was a poem, about a man, who had two bones...

I'm through Being Cool...

Oh My God maybe they'll play the Dr. Detroit song!

Ok I love devo. Did you know that album was produced by Brian Eno, who later hitched on to U2 for Joshua Tree and a few more?

------

Blondie is/was one of the greatest bands EVER. And Debbie Harry? Oh man I forget which photographer or magazine it was but they listed her as one of the most beautiful women of all time; and that face, there's something about it. Wow. I only saw Debbie live, never with the full band. Wow that original drummer was awesome.

Ever hear the way they wrote Heart of Glass originally? Its like a slow reggae; if memory serves.

And that guitar guy i knew Robert Fripp; played with Blondie in the 80s when they all lived in NYC. Hed tell the story of having brunch with Deb and Chris, and then he'd get a call that Stiv Bators had been in another knife fight and were having a benefit at CBGBs and would you please come and play with us?

So on Kazaa and everywhere, there some killer live recordings of Debbie Harry/Blondie/Fripp covering David Bowie's Heroes. Frigging Amazing.

25 tons of hardened steel!!!!....

DEVO ......the gimmick was amusing for a few minutes.

Blondie Harry looked fuckable, but you just knew she probably just laid there and just couldn't be impressed or pleased.
Crappy music, mostly.

Actually from what I understand she was quite the goer. 2 sources: one somewhat-reliable, one not so much. She went to high school with an ex's uncle or something, aaaaaaaaand, another guy told me he once saw her insert her microphone on stage.

Saw it live as an encore at the Palladium circa 1980,that's where I talked to Sid Vicious in the lobby.(the whole story is an old post of mine).

As far as being a goer,BJ is correct. There's a story out there about getting caught at home in the living room by her Dad.

She is and always was the real deal.
