I just went to an advanced screening of this show which airs on VH1 this Saturday at 10pm. It was one of the coolest, most interesting musical shows I have ever seen. So I want to recommend it to you all.

If you love learning new musical and cultural genres, then this show is for you.

Trey Anastasio of Phish and Dave Matthews go to Senegal to hang out with Orchestra Baobab for a week then play at the first concert for them hometown in 15 years.

I had no idea, but Orchesta Baobab are huge musical legends not only in Africa, but all of Europe.

After this show, I am definitley buying some music of theirs. Check it out if your CD collection has grown stale recently.

i've known about this since they went there a month or two ago, I can't wait to finally see it when it airs on saturday. I absolutly love trey and dave as musicians, seeing them together is a bonus. i'm glad to hear a positive review.

Senegal has a Rich, Rich musical fountain of talent; most noticably the Awesome Youssou N'Dour. The Senegalese being sung and spoken on Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" Is Youssou.

West Africa Rocks.
