LET THE HAMMER FALL!! (http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~paymer/mer/all_linkin_park_songs_sound_exactly_the_same.mp3)

I never liked this band, the only respect I give them is that they are so good to thier fans. Of course they have to be cause if it wasnt for the mindless teens they would get kicked out of the rock world faster then vanilla ice got kicked out of the rap world.

Where do you get this stuff? Im loving it, two bands I cant stand .You also have to take in consideration that one song is either slowed down or speed up to make them sound like this

What you're hearing is a band that's writing 2 songs that sound and progress exactly the same.

From intro to funky break down to the final chord it's all the same song with different lyrics.

Hey I'll admit PanterA wrote a few songs on there last album that sounded the same as songs on there third album, but they put out a good 10-15 years of original stuff before doing so. This teencore crap just drives me crazy.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah much of the metal we like can seem repetitive, especially to non Metal Heads.

Case In Point: where was I last Sunday? Seeing Queensrhyche. I can hear the cringing from here. But fuck it; I knew they were doing a lot of the Operation: Mindcrime album, and brought along the female chick who sings on the album, and they fucking tore the place apart, and it was packed to the gills. Hey rip on them or other bands of the Genre all you want but at least when Dimebag's playing you know it's Him, His Axe, His Amp, His Shit pulling off downbeat 16th notes at whatever Ungodly tempo.

I cant get Machine Head by Deep Purple out of my CD player. Five guys on tape; no digital reverbs and autotune vocal pitch correctors and quantizing functions for missed beats. Fuck that they played the tracks live, then overdubbed what was needed. And Jon Lord on a B3 put through a Marshall Amp = the Ultimate Key Sound. Beast!

I still like the band. I have this thing where I like bands that play music that I like.

Sorry.

There goes my street cred.

Eh.

Nickleback is full-on awful...I'm pretty much indifferent to Linkin Park at this point.

Not my cup of tea, but hey, if people wanna listen, go for it. It's well produced, and the DJ is pretty badass.

If you want a REAL back-to-back comparison, just synch up Jet's "Cold Hard Bitch" to, oh, I don't know...how about EVERY AC/DC SONG EVER FUCKING MADE?!?

I saw Queensryche several years ago. They put on a great show. But personally, I can't get into anything past Empire.

I kinda dug what some members of the band did as The Executioners, but I still can't stand Linkin Park.

The X-Ecutioners existed before Linkin Park, and will continue to exist long after. The guys from LP just guested on that one track.

What two songs is that exactly? I know one of them is the new one, but I can't determine the other one. I only hear one set of lyrics. And I'm not too familiar with Linkin Park.

Oddly enough both songs seem to have that effect on me.

Speaking of linkin park, i saw that theres a linkin park tribute album.
i guess the rules for a tribute album has been relaxed dramatically.
They're a mediocre band with maybe one hit that sucked anywayAnd theres their live show, which i saw at an ozzfest, which included 2 singers, one of which barely even did what would be back up vocals that a guitarist would do.
Yeah, thats a band that needs a tribute album, christ their style isn't even original to say the least.

Monsterone is the king.
Is it advisable to spread out all the conveniences of culture before people to whom a few steps up a stair to a library is a sufficient deterrent from reading?

I like Linkin Park, and I'm not gonna apologize about it either. And, frankly, if you are gonna mess with the speed of the songs this much (one song is ridiculously slowed down, the lead singer doesn't sound anything like he normally does) you might as well leave it alone. Its pretty obvious that Linkin Park songs sound alike anyway.
