He accidently shot a limo driver...it doesnt get anymore reckless than that. How does he not get charged with that? This jury system we got just isnt working in all these celebrity cases. I know they got a screening process and everything but it just isnt. Anyway, i dont see Williams doing more than 3 years...

I'd love to see him pull whatever the maximum time in prison is for the guilty charges but I got a funny feeling that he'll just get some heavy probation time!!! Mark my words!!!!

I heard on CNN, and get this, that reckless manslaughter is not negligence it is much more(sp.?). I was pondering that, and I can not come to any conclusion other than that he couldn't be convicted in the first place then. I would think that reckless and negligent are one in the same. Does anyone know what he would've had to do in order to actually get convicted?

And I think that the tampering with evidence by the prosecution helped him. Tampering with evidence......where have I seen this before.....

Reckless (sp?) and Negligence are not, "all in the same". Negligence means that you should have done something, but didn't, and recklessness (again, sp?), that you knew you were supposed to do something, but didn't do it anyway.

But yea...hmmm...well, I was going to say something dumb, but being that a guy got killed, I think it would not be wise, nor considerate to do so. A guy got killed, Williams did it drunk or not and then tried to cover it up. Now I'll say this: O.J. killed Nicole; Jayson Williams killed Gus, and got away with it. There are however, alot of cops, white AND black that are killing HUMAN BEINGS and are getting away with it. No matter what the color of skin the cops or their victims have, it's all WRONG.

So aside from celebreties, let's be outraged when society as a whole kills each other and are not disciplined for their actions.
