I have listened to, and loved, the above mentioned band for years and have never recommended them to anyone. I feel guilty about this and would like to take this opportunity to tell anyone who has not heard them to listen to at least two tracks.

Man, Astralwerks is the coolest label out there today. Easily a "safe bet" label in terms of the quality of the artists they release.

I didn't get to see those motherfuckers open for Radiohead on that tour, because the venue (At Bull Run, of all places) they were going to play here got flooded out...BOTH nights. So Radiohead's "people" are all like, "oh, we're sorry, the VA/DC area will get top priority on the next US tour"...and of course we didn't. We got ONE show right in the middle, at fucking Merriweather Post, the worst goddamn venue for ANYTHING you actually want to SEE. The problem with Post is basically this...everything SOUNDS great, and the artists love it because of that...but the place has very little actual seating, and is mostly "on the grass" seating on the hills around the stage, which means only about 60% of the audience, at best, can actually see the entire stage at any given time.

And we would have gotten Beta Band AND Thievery Corporation AND Kid Koala opening up for them on the cancelled tour.

Meanwhile, I constantly read in European music mags how Radiohead make up missed shows across the fucking continent whenever possible.
