The Living End

Possbily the best band i've ever seen live. Go early, see these guys, leave before the rest of the crap bands ruin your night.

Mizzle - I imagine Nissan Pavillion will be getting a lot more of those acts - unless noted, everything below is Nissan - their schedule isn't completely rounded out yet:

May

8 WMZQfest 2004 - Reba McEntire Tracy Byrd Phil Vassar
12-13 - Ani Difranco (9:30 Club)
16 - David Bowie (Patriot Center)
22 - The WHFStival (RFK Stadium)
26 Fleetwood Mac

June

1-3 - David Byrne (at the Birchmere!)
11 Blink-182 & No Doubt, Living End
13 - Madonna (MCI Center)
15 Christina Aguilera, Chingy
21 - Willie Nelson (Wolf Trap)
26 Styx & Peter Frampton
27 Tim Mcgraw, Big & Rich The Warren Brothers

July

2 Hall & Oates and Michael McDonald,
Average White Band
3 Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band
6 Boston
8 Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire
6- Lyle Lovett (Wolf Trap)
9 Sting and Annie Lennox
10 Britney Spears and JC Chasez
11 Dave Matthews Band, Galactic
17 Michael W. Smith, MercyMe
18 Ozzfest 2004
20 - Nickelback / Three Doors Down / Puddle of Mudd (Merriweather Post Pavillion)
23 - Clay Aiken (1st Mariner Arena)
26 - B-52s (Wolf Trap)
27-28 - Gipsy Kings (Wolf Trap)

August

2 Josh Groban
3 Rush
4 Warped Tour 2004
10 Linkin Park, Korn, Snoop Dogg
12-13 Prince (MCI Center)
13 Kenny Chesney
15 The Dead
21 John Mayer, Maroon 5, Dj Logic
25 - Van Halen (MCI Center)

September

25 Toby Keith
30 Allman Brothers Band, Little Feat

I'm sure there are more I've missed, especially at some of the clubs.

As far as any I plan to see - the only one is Ani next month at 9:30 Club. I may go to Ozzfest if both of my godsons want to do it again this year (I hate going to Nissan!). I wouldn't mind going to Warped Tour either.

David Byrne would be fun, as would Bowie and Prince, but they are all a little too pricey. I imagine that if KISS comes back through, I'll consider going to see them one more time, because evedently I haven't given them enough of my money over the years!

22 - The WHFStival (RFK Stadium)

This show is making a comeback. I haven't been since 2000 (STP, Rage, Staind, Filter, Godsmack, Deftones--plus SR71 and Good Charlotte playing the local stage for like 200 people each).

But this year is The Cure, The Living End, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Violent Femmes, The Offspring, Jay-Z, Cypress Hill, and a bunch of whiney Emo bands, which ain't not bad.

It's not the 20 bands for 20 bucks like it used to be, but it's usually a good time. And there is usually one or two bands that you can discover before they hit it big.

Not going to get to see many concerts this summer. However, we do have tickets to:

The Mikado (New York Gilbert and Sullivan Company)

Johnny Lang

Both at Wolf Trap. We also hope to catch The Gypsy Kings again.

Seems like a lot of Ani fans; for peeps in Jersey, she playing in Sayreville at the Starland Ballroom [e-Hunka Bunka; you dont forget That name].

They gets some other good acts; and thanx curtoid! The summer sheds are open! Wow I love concerts.

I'd love to see the Allman Brothers on the 25th of Aug. but I'll be in law school already. No point in going to see the Dead, I'll catch them at Bonnaroo. I feel like PNC's concert line-up has gone downhill in the past several years.

My general rule is that if the show isn't at The Black Cat, Nation, The 9:30 Club or Ft. Reno, I ain't going.

Cheap Trick? Ampitheatre Stage?

It'll be about the 20th time i've seen them, but cmon, ya gotta see them; they still Rock, and will stomp the PNC flat.

Bowie i'd like to see.
Kid Rock; saw him at his height, no use going now.
No Doubt; saw them in clubs, not gonna go again.
Moody Blues? Oh dear stop me before I go Again.

Would like to see Annie Lennox, but the Crime against Humanity that is Sting will be in the same county.

KISS? That aint Ace Frehley wearing that make-up; Gene, retire sorta on top. Stop squeezing the piggy bank.

311; sheesh i saw them so long ago No Doubt Warmed Up!

Cyndi Lauper? Saw her at The Pony. Amazing; amazing, amazing I am So There.
Rush? Hell yeah once more with the Canucks! Play Camera Eye dammit.
Deep Purple just blew them away with two nights at the beacon; and they were doing Machine Head in its entirety. Sadly, no Blackmore or Jon Lord; although Steve Morse and Donn Airee step up well. Space Truckin' wooHOO I am there.

And yes, I am seeing Madonna. Just casually though.
