For those of you who aren't on the mailing list, this is what just popped up in my inbox:
EDDIE TRUNK TO ROCK NATIONWIDE ON SATURDAY NIGHTS ON XM!
Adds Satellite radio to his current syndicated radio and TV work.
Popular hard rock/metal DJ Eddie Trunk has joined XM Satellite Radio
for a new live Saturday night music and interview show. The Eddie Trunk
show will debut on XM's Boneyard channel Saturday May 29th 2004 and air
live every Saturday night from 8PM-Midnight EST time. The show will
feature Eddie's unique mix of new and classic hard rock & metal, as well
as special guests, live listener interaction, special features,
giveaways, and news making interviews.
Eddie Trunk is celebrating his 20th year in radio and the music
business. He began his radio career in 1983 at NJ's WDHA, where he started one
of the first ever specialty shows to spotlight hard rock & metal music.
Trunk made the leap into the NYC market in 1994 at then active rocker
WAXQ (Q104.3). He remained with WAXQ for four years and a variety of
formats. In 1998 he moved to cross town rocker WNEW. It was there that he
once again launched his own show, "Saturday Night Rocks with Eddie
Trunk". After the station flipped to FM Talk a year later, Trunk was the
only music based show retained. In fact the show expanded due to
popularity to Friday nights as well. Following a format flip in early 2003 at
WNEW, Trunk returned to WAXQ. His show is nationally syndictated by X
Radio Networks and is flagshipped live from WAXQ every Friday night, as
well as affiliate stations and online at KNAC.com. Now, in addition to
the syndicated program, Trunk adds XM Satellite radio (the market!
leader) live on Saturday nights nationwide! In addition to radio,
Trunk is also seen daily on national TV as a host/VJ on VH1 Classic. More
details and updates on his website www.EddieTrunk.com More info about XM
at www.XMRadio.com
All's I gotta say is, it's ABOUT TIME Eddie got Saturday nights back! Friday's on Q104 and now Saturdays on XM. Congratulations Eddie. Now the whole country can rock out with you!
