Is this Bam from the famed West Chester CKY and Jackass? I saw Knoxville on MTV after Headbangers Ball on Saturday but it just looked like Jackass. Is this a new show? I swear, HB Ball is about all I watch on MTV anymore.

Viva La Bam is pretty good. I don't mind watching it because essentially America has evolved so much that we are now watching people being stupid for us. Maybe people will take this as like a counter-example of how to live one's life. Unfortunately people will just aspire to be Bam, which will just give me more entertainment for the future. Wild Boyz I like better because I guess it doesn't involve just watching people that have obviously quit on life (Bam's family have to just be whores to MTV the way they've allowed their lives to be increasingly made a mockery of)

he's a pro skater, had a hugely successful tv show on mtv (jackass) not to mention the movie, and make cky (precursor to jackass) tapes before he was even on mtv. so its not his family it's him making the money.

I'm a big fan of the show, it feels more like CKY than anything else, which is a good thing. Sometimes Jackass was good but other times it felt like the crap that is now known as "Wild Boyz", ugh that show blows.

I didn't see last nights episode but I thought Season 1 was really good.

I've never watched any skateboarding event ever. Fact was CKY was an underground thing, and I saw it a few months before I ever heard of Jackass. I think he would be doing this crap if it was on MTV or not.

Plus I think he could like a long, rich life entirely on his royalties from being in the Tony Hawk Video games, don't you think?

And people will watch this show because it's on MTV, not the other way around--MTV putting on the show because people watch it.

I doubt his royalties from a Tony Hawk game are even enough to pay for a car. I am sure he either got a lump sum, or small monthly payments based on sales. There is no way a huge company is going to be paying out these guys a lot of money to be in their game. They pay Tony Hawk who is the big name, and then the other guys get a little piece.

Bam is sponsored by alot of skating companies. Clothes, shoes, gear,etc. He even has his own line of boards. Plus with the MTV royalties from Jackass, the CKY videos, his movies, his Jones endorsement. This kid is everywhere and i wouldn't be suprised if he ends up the richest skater in the industry. No matter if his talent factor isn't up to par.
