Just graduated the Marines

I just got back from the Marines. I mentioned me leaving on here when it was time to go, so I thought I'd mention graduation here. What an experience it was. I lost over 40 lbs. in 3 months. People are coming up to me everywhere I go and saying hi and all that. In the past two days I've had like 12 beers, 3 shots, the cover charge at a bar paid for, got a free slice of pizza, and have had countless people giving me "oorahs" and "Semper Fis" and all that. Even all the ladies that never would have given me the time of day before I left are chatting it up with me now and all that.

Congrats; you now belong to one the most Elite fraternities ever. I'm sure you're up on your Naval/USMC History now; I am blown away again, and again at the accomplishments, going waaaaaaay back, and the Island campaigns of WW2; Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, Wake, Christmas, Tinian [where we flew the Enola Gay from], etc. on and on just the most amazing thing. I am insanely Jealous; but dad said, I'm buying, go to college, and he actually got pissed off when I took the ASVAB.

Congratulations. What is your MOS? Believe me, after getting out of boot, you will be walking more straight, walking ON your heels, making sure you make that sound "when you strike the deck", you may even start pivoting when you turn corners, lol. You may find yourself saying, "As You Were" quite often. You will find yourself waking at 4:30 am, for no reason, while in your own bed at home AND standing at attention next to it waiting for "count" and permission to go to the "head".

Ana I can do most of that; and do, just from havin a USMC dad; my 180 pivot is stellar; you gotta place that first foot just right behind ya, coz when you start the pivot you are committed, your feet will end up at whatever position you made; very difficult to correct midway through; and its gotta be such that the feet are at the correct angle once again.
