View Full Version : AJ is on top of TNA once again!

After Raven intentionally "broke" Harris' arm, there was a mad scramble backstage to lobby for a World Title shot at Jarett in the cage later in the night. The Truth and his comrades wanted it, Harris wanted his AMW tag partner James Storm to get the shot, Abyss and the very annoying Goldylocks wanted it, AJ and of course Raven said he was the only one that could defeat Triple J. It seems that Russo agreed with him but when the main event started he mulled over the names in his head and decided that he would not make a "deal with the devil" so he appointed AJ.
A "phenomenal" match and AJ takes it! New Champion! Can you feel TNA getting into stride once again!

So this is a good sign for their FSN deal. AJ will be the flagbearer and the TNA revolution (as it should be)!
Thank you Russo for lobbying this idea last second and the bookers for agreeing with this decision!

It'd be nice if I could watch and/or cared about NWA-TNA. Once they are on FSN I'll watch and then maybe care.

Even though I know the four 2-hour PPVs roughly add up to about what the WWE charges for puttin out one lack-luster 3 hour show every month, I really can't take TNA serious until they put their product on weekly cable TV.
I can't believe they haven't been able to get Ted Turner involved enough to grab a 2 hours spot on one of his horrible you've-seen-this-movie-200-times-but-this-time-we'll-take-out-the-curses-and-make-it-less-entertaining channels. Wasn't there a rumor a while back that he (Turner) was bored again & wanting back into the rasslin' biz?

If that were true, I would just wish that he just backed them up with money and didn't make any creative decisions for the company.

They should have belt the on Raven and let AJ get it when they are on Cable for at least 5 months so the new viewers can get to know the kid. We all know Raven, so a belt around a form ECW Champ is like, "Hey look, Raven's champ here. I wonder if this is like ECW". Then people see the X Division and see that it takes some things from EC Dub. They see Styles and begin to back him and then bam, he gets the belt and ratings go up. Feel free to call me a fool for this idea, because even though its in my head right now, I myself feel its kind of weird.

Jynx, I couldn't agree with you more. If they were to put together a TV package, what you just described would be the best way within their current powers to present themselves to the world. But, I would imagine that the first NWA TNA champ a free TV audience will see is Jarrett.

Oh...I thought he had mentioned publicly that he was looking to get back in, but to a lesser degree than WCW. Would make perfect sense, too bad.
