Anyone remember this AWESOME show on NBC in the 80's???
Remington Steele, Laura Holt, Mildred Krebs, the Chauffer, and Laura's friends who began the Remington Steele detective agency.
The best part was the word "Steele" was always in the title for that particular episode.
I always thought Stephanie Zimbalist was hot. Too bad she didn't become a big star as her co-stars Pierce Bosnan (007) and Everybody loves Raymond's Mom. I hope they make a DVD collection of the series. But I'll admit, the series got stupid towards the end.

NBC cancelled the series but talked of bringing it back as a 2 hr. movie block. At the same time due to the LONG haitus of doing the series, Pierce Brosnan opted out of his contract in order to become 007. Who would have thunk it at the time that the unknown actor would become a big star playing James Bond.
I liked the show too. But It seems that you may be just a bit obsessed with it. Also I'm not afraid to say it.... I think you have a crush on Pierce Brosnon.

Pierce actually lost the chance to become James Bond because of the show. NBC wouldn't let him take the role even though they weren't sure they were going to renew it for the season. They also didn't want him working on another gig. Consequently, the role of Bond went to Timothy Dalton. Too bad.
I liked the series, but felt that the more screen time Mildren received the worse the shows became. I also suspect that Pierce's heart may have not been in it towards the end as he realized he may have lost his only chance to transition to movies in a big way through the Bond series.

I felt the same way. She came to take Steele down and in the end joined the agency after being such a hard nose initially.

Whatever. But back in the day Stephanie Zimbalist was a hottie. Who didn't want to bang Laura Holt.

I have to admit that i actually read the title as "Lexington Steele t.v. show" and was ready to post about how I just recently saw an episode. I am now ashamed and am crawling into a hole.
