This looks pretty cool also. Styled after the old NES controller. They are also releasing 8 classic NES games the same day for $20 each. These include the original Donkey Kong and a Mario game.http://www.nintendo.com/newsarticle?articleid=5c9f6ab8-fba9-4252-91cb-dea9feaaf918&page=other

Yeah, I'm not a fan of these campaigns. I mean, why the hell are we being charged $20 for a game that was made 20 years ago? The least they could do is package like 5 or 6 games onto one cartridge. Do you know how many NES games you can fit onto a GBA cartridge? It's just a complete waste of potential capacity, at an unreasonable price. The system looks pretty, though.

I dug the system when the pics were first going around, but $20 is too high for the retro games.

Now I'm pissed that I got an SP. I had a regular GBA and I traded it in with a game plus $50 to get a Silver SP, now they come out with the NES style one. Damnit.

As far as the price, I think its a little high. Sure you get nice packaging and its portable. But, I saw The Legend of Zelda for $1.50 at Gamestop the other day, so paying $20 seems a little ridiculous.

its hard to put a NES in your pocket and take it outside. The point is now you can play classic console games on a portable system. It wouldnt be as much fun if it was on XBox.

Ugh. What a rip-off those games are. I'd rather give my money to Namco, Activision, Konami, or some other company that will at least give you multiple retro-games on a single cartridge.

Way to milk the consumer, Nintendo.

You've been able to play portable NES games since 1998 when the Game Boy Color came out. The Game Boy Color's hardware was virtually identical to the NES. Game Boy Advance on the other hand, is technically more powerful than a Super Nintendo. I'm all for the porting of great SNES titles and even some PlayStation titles to GBA, but to try and sell us 8-bit NES games for $20 is asking a bit much.

they actually once did release the original Donkey Kong on Game boy with extra levels but it was missing something. Im hoping this version is more authentic. Its funny that Sega and Nintendo probably have the most brand loyalty for software manufacturers among customers yet neither has released a compilation of its classics. Sega has released a few multigame carts but few are true compilations like you are beginning to see from Intellivision and activision and even Konami.

I'll pick up the Mega Man collection that's coming in the next couple months, but I won't touch the nintendo ones. I have most of the nes carts anyway.

free emulator vs retro-system. call my attention short, but anytime i go back to nes or atari, i'm bored after a few days.
