I'm going to run down the list of the matches with my guess as to how the outcome will be.
- Tajiri vs. Coachman: Tajiri gets the win after embarrassing coach and Al Snow as they try to cheat and win.
- Lita vs. Victoria- Considering there has been no build up to this whatsoever, and the women who are facing each other have had no chance to develop their character in this match, I really can't decide what will happen.
- Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair: Flair is a tag team champ with Batista, and Mr. Benjamin is undefeated since his arrival to RAW. Who will benefit more from the win? I say the obvious answer is Benjamin because to be the man, you gotta beat the man. WHOOOOO!
-Edge vs. Kane: Kane disqualifies himself with a brutal attack, or the two go to a no contest, resulting in longer feud between the two.
- Y2J vs. Christian and Trish Stratus: If Trish were to interfere in Lita's title match, I say that Lita comes back and returns the favor and causes Trish and Christian their's.
-Rnady Orton vs. Cactus Jack- This one is going to be a bloodbath. Since there hasn't been a decent hardcore match in a while in the WWE, this one should make up for lost time. With the Intercontinetal Championship on the line, it will be interesting to see where they go with this. I think that Orton will lose the title, and the next night on RAW he will drop the title and give it back to Orton, saying that he doesn't need it to prove what he is.
- Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels: It's going to be a long match but hopefully not a complete repeat of WrestleMania XX. I see Triple H getting somehow "injured" so that they can explain why he's out even though we know he'll be doing another movie and Benoit getting the pin or submission on Shawn Michaels, thus resulting in Michaels heel turn.

The only match that I am really concerned about is the Benjamin/Flair match. Now it isn't hard to see taht they'll incoporate Batista in there, resulting in Shelton's first lost and initiate his fall to "Jobbersville". Yes Shelton has the solid in ring ability, and the charisma, but the fed are destined to screw up with him. Let's face it, everytime the fed even looks like they're getting ready to push a young guy with the goods (ie: Matt Hardy, Jamie Noble, or Chavo Guerrero), they decide the push isn't a good idea and ultimately send the young star down a long line of matches on Velocity, Heat, or the one place a guy on Raw or SD! is afraid of, OVW. And no I didn't slip when I said Chavo. Number one: Chavo's in ring talent is solid and he works a bit like his uncle but with even more high risk lucha moves like the cork screw moon sault. His attitude is great for a snobbish heel and his mic skills are improving. Sure they put the Cruiserweight title around his waist, but they also have had him getting into a feud with Spike Dudley lately. Now as for Spike, to me his career is over. His in ring work hasn't deteriorated, but the fed did do a good job of killing of all credibility that Spike can do alot for his size as was shown in ECW. To me, the guy needs to go to TNA, and get involved there. Ok, I've went off the topic and lost the sense of this post about 5 miles back. Lemme get back on track.
As for the world Heavyweight championship, I'm stumped. I'm not sure if Hunter's currently involved in any movie roles, nor do I know if he's already filmed his part for "Blade". I DO know however that the Triple H wins record after WMXX has been 0-2, which does not include the 8-man tag match that occured on the previous Raw. Anyway, Hunter, being the kind of prick that he is, may just walk out of Edmonton with the strap, making it look like a brass ring once again. I mean, come on, his loss at WMXX, followed by losses to the tremendous talent that is Shelton Benjamin only reveals to me that they're setting him up to get the belt again. He gave the fans what they wanted at WMXX, and he's actually giving the young talent the support they need, but that's only for a short amount of time. Without any more speculation, I say, the guy to leave Backlash with the gold is Triple H.

- Tajiri vs. Coachman: Tajiri gets the win after embarrassing coach and Al Snow as they try to cheat and win.
I agree on the interference, but not the outcome. Coach wins, and I wonder once again why they bothered taking Tajiri away from SD!
- Lita vs. Victoria- Considering there has been no build up to this whatsoever, and the women who are facing each other have had no chance to develop their character in this match, I really can't decide what will happen.
I'm hoping for a Vic win, because Lita just sucks. However, since Lita is the more popular chick, I can see WWE putting the belt on that walking disaster. I can also see interference from one or more of the following: Molly Holly (finally getting a measure of revenge), Stevie (miffed over being dumped), Matt Hardy (either for Lita, signaling a heel turn, or against her, once again reminding us that he "hates" her), or Trish (thus setting up Lita's interference during the handicap match).
WHOOOOO!
Agreed--hope to see Shelton vs Orton soon.
-Edge vs. Kane: Kane disqualifies himself with a brutal attack, or the two go to a no contest, resulting in longer feud between the two.
Gotta have an Edge win somehow. Kane starts to calculate the positive effect of regrowing his hair and re-donning the mask.
- Y2J vs. Christian and Trish Stratus: If Trish were to interfere in Lita's title match, I say that Lita comes back and returns the favor and causes Trish and Christian their's.
Agreed... although a fickle Trish turn wouldn't be out of the question (though wholly stupid).
-Randy Orton vs.
I dunno... I see Orton using Foley's precious Barbie against him for the victory.
Agreed. I also see this as the very miniscule beginning of a Trips face turn (ugh!) for when he returns from his movie gig.

Wow, I can't believe that Peachy actually agreed with almost all of my predictions! Once again proving to me that she has good taste. You rock, Peachy!

Pretty much has everything right there. The only thing I'm doubting is Tajari and Coach, I'm thinking Coach wins due to run in by a debuting Kenzo Suzuki

Agreed--hope to see Shelton vs Orton soon.
That's about the last thing I want to see. Odds are they'll have Shelton job to Orton as another "talent enhancement".

Or they could let Shelton have the belt while Orton inevitably joins the chase for the heavyweight title.
See, I can't be eternally cynical. Too fucking predictable. ;p

Tajiri vs. Coachman
Why is this match even taking place? Wrestlers v. non-wrestlers = NEVER ENTERTAINING. This is a waste of PPV space that could go to someone else. ANYONE else. Pretty much anyone else on the roster deserves a PPV paycheck more than Coach.
Prediction: Tajire wins. Probably after Al Snow interference backfires. Or possibly with the help of a returning Maven.
Lita vs. Victoria
Lita might be worse than she's ever been before. She may be popular, but I don't even think the WWE is crazy enough to put the belt on her again.
Prediction: Vicky.
Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair
This is where we get to see if they're serious about the Benjamin push. I personally think they are. Or, at the least, as Peachy has indicated, if they're going to job Benjamin out to a member of Evolution it'll be to Orton (or to HHH).
Prediction: Shelton gets the biggest win of his career.
Edge vs. Kane
I sincerely hope they DON'T put these two in a long feud, as Kane, regretably, would be nothing but a speed bump on Edge's road to the upper card. I can see Edge winning here and moving on to feud, briefly, with Xian.
Prediction: This is Edge's first real match back, so he needs the win. It won't really hurt Kane much, as he can rather easily be booked as a monster even after the loss.
Y2J vs. Christian and Trish Stratus
After having much promise in its beginning, this is what's become of this feud. Just end it now, please.
Prediction: Jericho gets his revenge
Randy Orton vs. Cactus Jack
God bless Mick Foley for trying to put over the younger talent - and I was just thinking today how incredibly different an attitude towards that Mick has than HHH, Shelton Benjamin aside. It's not Mick's fault about Orton - Mick doesn't get to pick the guys the WWE wants to get over.
Prediction: Foley wil make the match watchable, if not decent-to-good. And he'll probably bleed buckets and nearly kill himself and get knocked on the head enough times to forget some of the moments of his early career (fortunately, you wrote about them in your books, Mick), and the end result will be: Orton wins, but STILL doesn't have much heat. Or my respect.
Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels
This is in Canada, right? Yeah, Michaels is sooooo turning heel here.
Prediction: Benoit retains, as I just have to be enough of an optimist to believe that they won't put the title back on HHH after just a month and with him leaving to film his godawful movie soon (yes, I know, it hasn't even begun shooting yet, but I'm positive that ultimately that adjective WILL be applicable). Michaels will turn heel, and hopefully we'll get more Benoit v. Michaels goodness for the next few weeks.
Benoit v. Michaels......you know, it's kind of sad that they haven't ever really interacted until these past few weeks. In an alternate reality perhaps, had the two of them been put together earlier on in their careers, they could have formed the best rudo tag team EVER. In the entire HISTORY of the business.

One more thing...
I don't see how anyone can possibly be looking forward to this Orton/Foley matchup as it consists A) a guy who's taken one too many bumps and who's in ring skill wasn't anything special, but his tenacity made up for it, and B) a toilet level jobber with the in ring skills of Maven and the ring psychology of the brooklyn brawler. Not to mention the guys making the IC title look like the old LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT.
Basically, the match will be around 12-15 minutes of missed spots and flubbery of the simplest moves with Foley bumping like a madman all the while. I say at the most, Orton gets a B level crimson mask to sport and comes at Mick with "Barbie", and follows up with the ever limp diamond cutter for the pinfall win. End result, the match'll suck and all the A level promos Mick's been cutting to draw fans to the match will be for not as the fed won't let their latest project take a bump. What a sham...
