kidney stones suck

I dont know if anyone else out there has had kidney stones, but they are a pain in the ass. I am going in tommorow for my second lithotripsy, hopefully there wont be too much pain after the fact. Here goes another messed up weekend.

You might have intestinal stones. If they are kidney stones, they missed a turn somewhere. They shouldn't be a pain in the ass....

I had stones in 1995. It's so bad, you don't know when you can get back to a regular routine. I haven't had spinach since.

i know what you mean dotsncorn, its only been 3 or 4 weeks since i originally found out i had them, all i have been drinking is water and lemonade. no more soda at all. and i have been very picky about what i eat, no more big midnight snacks :(. as long as i dont get another one though thats wha tmatters.

ive had about ten KS in m ylife, and they were damn near EQUIVALENT to labor pains. Hope you got somedecent pain meds and try to drink cranberry juice an dwoter.
P.S. you'll be amazed at how SMALL those things are that cause so much pain!!! You may not eveseeit when you dthe ol' filter thing. Loks like a tiny coffee grind. UNREAL! SORRY!!!!!!! :(

I had some type of blockage about one year ago. I just got dressed for work and i'm trying to ignore this 'pressure with slight pain' in my side thinking it would pass. I began to pace and and came to the realization that this ain't going away and i need some relief. So i said 'honey get dressed, we're going to the hospital' The 20 minute ride over was a little tough. it's not a 'sharp' pain but a 'pressure pain' seems to best describe it, never had it before.

Anyway, as we pulled into the Hospital parking lot the pressure went away. Now i felt foolish going in but went in anyway and they took an x-ray and i believe some urine and blood. they didn't see anything on the x-ray and sent me home with a strainer to pee through and maybe catch what was causing the blockage. I never used it.
