The Bruins and Canadians are heading into double overtime and my heart is racing! So many close calls in the first OT.

The B's tied it up late in the third after pulling Raycroft. I love playoff hockey!

If you want to fix the NHL (other than money-wise) do away with the biggest problem it has. It's not the redline, the trap (but that's close to the top), not the big goalie pads, not the concussion problems. If you want to make the NHL a legit force in the sports world, do away with the dirtiest three letter word in sports, the TIE. Even though the intensity is at a fever pitch, I really think my favorite part of playoff hockey is knowing I'm going to see a winner no matter how f'n long it takes.

And even though I love it just the way it is, if you intend to bring in a new generation of fans, don't give them a chance to get bored thinking they're going to go to the arena, pay $90 for a ticket just not to sit in the upper deck, pay $6 for a beer, and go home not having seen either team win.

CuJo was one of my idles when I used to play. I feel bad for him, first they bring back Hasek cause they cant rely on CuJo, sent him on waivers and now after Hasek was out with a groin injury and their other backup(name slips my mind now) sucked, they bring him back.

CuJo just ask for a trade or something. Only problem is that i believe his contract is a little high for most teams, except for the Rangers

Ok I know there are not as many RFnet fans for hockey as there are for baseball but is ANYONE watching the Stanley Cup Finals? This is seriously great hockey for the purists.
Both teams are playing to their full potential. Khabibulin has rarely shown his weakness between the pipes like the old him. Yes maybe he is overextending himself but at the perfect time.
The Flames are never-say-die, and the Bolts are almost destined to come back. The odds are in the Flames' favor, not because they are up 3-2 but they have 10 road victories in the playoffs. The last team to do that was...surprise surprise...the Devils. And they won the cup. But the Lighning always come back with a win after they lose a game.
If you love hockey like I do, plant yourself in front of the TV on saturday night and turn on Channel 7 (or whatever your ABC station is out in DC or Boston for our out-of-the-area board members)
With the way last nights game ended it is gonna be a doozie.

I've watched every single game, despite feeling like the only person in America who's doing so. I love this series. It's not one of the greatest of all time, too much sloppy hockey, but holy shit is it fun to watch. It's nice to see Iggy finally get recognized but the American media, trust me the guy's been this good for the past few years. Hopefully the Flames can wrap it up tomorrow on their home ice, I'd like to see them win the cup.

Too bad the sport is dying. They have to promote their stars and ban the nasty stickwork. Players in the past had identities, now with helmets and faceguards it looks like robots are playing. They also need to increase the rink size to European size, you get more wide open action and less of the boring traps. Plus there are too many teams. Expansion has killed the game. Trust me, I'm right about this. Reggie Fleming fan since day 1!

Really good game tonight and good series thus far.

I want to see the Flames win if only for the fact that it seems like their fans deserve it more. Tampa fans seem so fraudulent in their fandom as they just hop on cause they have a winner. I have no problem with the Lightning or any of the fans that genuinely like the hockey down there but I have a hard time believing that that many Floridians are hockey fans. Calgary, hell, Canada is such a hotbed for the sport it would be just perfect for the Flames to win it.

...and yeah, Heckler is right. As much as I want to see the players be protected int he face and head I think it should be their own choosing if they wish to play with or without helmets. I want to see some hair flying. I would also love to see the return of the old school cageless goalie mask. Jason style!
