Ruth has a 342 lifetime average, Bonds has a 295 career avg

I have no problem with him being in the top 10, I think he would have been there before his "explosion." But you have to put Ruth ahead of him. How about Ted Williams who missed a lot of years do to war and came back and hit .388(i think) when he was 38. Then you have Dimaggio, Gherig, Mantle.

no, inherently if he is found to be on the juice everything he's done in the past three years has to be called into question. He added 100 HRs through the 'roids you figure. Yes he would've still been in the top 20 or so, but if he took steroids he deserves to be barred from record books. Somehow Pete Rose is banned but i'm supposed to forgive Mr. Roids?
