Come on; the lady has got it. You can deny her talent, her looks, her singing, her dancing, and I have, but the lady has put herself on the musical map more times then so many 'edgy' and 'shocking' bands trying to be cool.
Madonna often dictated what was cool; and if you don't think she still holds sway over her adopted home town of NYC [where she was a drummer; listen up Mikey D]; go to ticketmaster and see; somebody is buying up those tickets like no tomorrow; How many nights sold out at Continental Arena? Seven? How many at the Garden?
Britney and Christina showed just how far they have to go when they appeared with Madonna; no comparison. Let them stick it out over that many years, and take all the shit, and just say fuck you i'm back again and again and again. Sure it gets old. Her MTV awards? When she did Vogue? No one gave a shit, and everyone KNEW it was a lip-synch, but they didnt care because 1] she was blowing them away with what she had thought up for an idea, and more importantly 2] the song fucking Rocks. Yes, it does. Deny it all you want.
