Have you ever looked at a clock and for just a moment it looks like the second hand had ticked backwards, then continued forward?
Maybe I'm just crazy. It's probably just the quick eye and the second hand movement combination, but this happens often enough that I wondered if anyone else noticed it.

HOLY SHIT! I was going to post this a few months back, but I did not want to be flamed. You know, being new and all. Anyway that shit happens all the time to me. I try and explain it to my girlfriend and she think I am crazy.

You guys are mutants. You have the special gift of reversing time. But you need to work harder at it to make your powers last longer than a second. Maybe if we can get a bunch of you with the same powers, we can reverse time to when Ron and Fez were in NYC. Anyone else have this power?

I thought it was a special gift that only I possessed. Thanks for ruining it for me.

Well I'm glad someone else has experienced this.
I'm sure there is a simple explaination but damned if it doesn't just spook me every time it happens and I end up staring at the clock.

Just fly around the world at superspeed and reverse the rotation of the Earth.
Same effect.

Laugh it up furballs, but JPMNICK and I may be living seconds in the past!
Which doesn't explain why I'm late for work. Hmmm.

I do remember one time when I saw a clock go backwards. It was the last class of the day, and I had to haul ass to get home because I left the hooker I got the night before at the house, well actually the second hooker, the first one was, well...
anyway this chick was so hot we went for a ride and went on the subway and i fucked her brains out, but she crashed at my place. You see, my parents are on vacation...

I had a hollogram-Yoda-watch that told time counter-clockwise (thus, all the numbers were reversed). It took me about three months to train myself to be able to look down at the watch and instantly read the time but it was worth it. Of course, then I couldn't tell what time it was on 99.99999% of the rest of the world's clocks but did I mention the Yoda was a hollogram?!?!

When I watch old western movies and Im looking at the spinning wagon wheels, a lot of times it looks like they are spinning backwards, but I think its because the camera shutter speed is capturing images at a different rate than the spokes are moving. I wouldnt be suprised if there was something similar going on when you glance at a clock. Its a trick of perception. I see a similar thing when looking through a chain link fence or a clothes line, it seems suddenly to move in and out of focus, maybe its connected in a way.

Good call sr71blackbird, that makes sense. I've noticed that on some car and their hubcaps as well.

This happens to me a lot. I see the hand either stop or go backwards. I was once looking at the clock and actually witnessed it, not being something just out of the corner of my eye. It's freaky.

probably has something to do with the gears... like on a car with stick shift. i have automatic but when i pull out from a light at the same time a car next to me is pulling out 'that's using stick' each time he shifts gears it seems like he slows down before moving forward again
and maybe there is a little bit of 'play' in the minute hand
