View Full Version : A New War?

With TNA very close to closing the deal with Fox Sports Net for a weekly show, I'm hoping that they get into a ratings war with WWE. A Monday Night War would kill them, but perhaps try to take the lead on Thursday night?

If they get the Thursday night spot, at 8PM, Smackdown's dead. I mean, let's all be serious: SD! made Raw look like crap before the draft; it was the show that showed the side of WWE that we all loved. After the draft, they've turned to complete crap. This whole Bradshaw/Guerrero feud is as riveting as drinking soda without a straw. And the match itself will suck even though Eddie will work like hell in attempts to make it look good.

Would it even be on at 8:00? With all the local sports programs FSN airs it would be prempted all the time all over the country.

No new war.

As much as I want TNA to succeed, they're FAR from being able to compete with the WWE at this point, and they shouldn't even really try.

But Se7en, at this point a "Diff'rent Strokes" marathon can compete with the fed on thursday nights. To say it rather clearly, SD! now sucks!

Fallons right, FSN usually has Mets or Islanders games on during prime time. I think if they do land a deal it would be for a 10PM slot...and even then FSN still broadcasts some games at that time too if the team is on the west coast...

Anyway, when Gilberti was in the main event (which I did enjoy) he is no longer.

Trust me Im not saying this to be an A-Hole or to show you up or anything like that but you cant honestly tell me that you would rather watch TNA instead and of Raw.How old are you? You are being an a-hole and talking like you know alot more than you do. But you don't.

It is not my stance of what I would rather watch... I do watch both and enjoy both tremendously. What, we can't do that?

Imean Iknow the "cool" thing is to get on and knock WWE but Sting? 3 live Kru? Lex Luger?Ummm read the other thread.

Are you aware that TNA wants to limit Jerry Lynn? You really don't know that much do you?

I know your going to say WWE limits everybody and Triple H was champ cause hes banging Stephanie YADA YADA YADA.Thats as stale as Mike Tenay. And this coming from a kid with a Triple H screenname.

I know WWE does stupid things and limits guys but TNA should be more innovative and dont say Xcup is innovative! It is a ripoff of other tournaments but it is nice to see new faces on television on a week to week basis. And talented ones at that (although the UK severly lacked in talent. Johnny Storm was unable to make the trip and be captain, pissed me off).

I say this with respect and of course its only my opinion but brother TNA is like the Mets in 2004...They suck! Again an impartial comment from a blind Yankee fan.

because the METS in 2k4 is like saying that Glenn Gilberti should be in the main event.

WWE fans have no room to talk, seeing as Bradshaw is in the WWE main event scene now.

Bradshaw has an interesting character, but he isn't even the worker that Gilberti is.

Anyways Im done going back and forth I'm glad you like watching TNA and I hope one day I find it just as good as WWE.

Bashing TNA seems like a fun pasttime for some, but I don't get it. People were saying two years ago they'd never last two months, but here they are on the verge of making it to two years.

We should ALL agree that there NEEDS to be a second major promotion out there. A lot of the WWE's problems can be attrituted to their total lack of competition - it's caused them to grow complacent and stagnant.

A second promotion is needed. And like it or not, NWA has the best chance of being that promotion.

i dont watch tna, simply because of the stupid constant ppv. if it was a free show id watch it.

anyway, the mets are the young upstarts who may not win everynite but they give you something exciting to watch every night. cause there is no excitement in constant winning. give me my 500 tema anyday of the week.

and unless hhh continues being an asshole tna will beat raw one day. that is if tna is free.

Your all the same people who probably worship Bret Hart and still scream "You screwed Bret" when the godam guy didnt want to do the job to HBK when he was ready to leave WWE for the competition because he was in his hometown.Give me a break.I loved Hitman too but he could have easily showed up on Nitro with the belt.

I saw this post, and figured this is the kinda forum I can voice what frustrates me about Stevie's push with no consequences. The chances of him being pushed are Kate Moss thin. He's a great talent, but NEVER will be pushed again. Hell right now would be amazing to parody all the stupid s with the FCC and bring back RTC. They won't do that. He was getting HUGE face pops when he was doing the Crash tributes, Vince said he was going to get a big push cause "He turned himself face" But that turned in to "We are going to turn Victoria face, and leave you with nothing cause you are the weak half the team"

I'm probably the biggest Stevie fan on Earth. I've got soured enough, and just resolved myself that the push will NEVER happen.

And if you want to blame anyone for him getting heat with the office ever.... You can blame me, Jim Ross wasn't a fan of Fat Chicks with Hardy Boyz site that I had up on StevieRichards.com, and now Fattitude.net.

You have no idea how much that pissed me off. The split (done behind the scenes, even) made absolutely no sense. Then again, Prozac-addled happy Vickie makes no sense to me either.

I have a sick, twisted wish that they would team him up with Molly so they can both get revenge on Victoria. But I'm sure I'm the only one who can see that and enjoy it.

TNA now has the chance to boom. Austin and Goldberg are gone. Lesnar maybe up for negociations, ditto with Hogan and you have guys like Kanyon, Spanky, Sean O'Haire and others on the market. TNA should go out and try to promote an Austin/GB match. People who haven't watched wrestling in years would tune in. FSN IMO isn't the best place for a cable deal but meh. I saw this post, and figured this is the kinda forum I can voice what frustrates me about Stevie's push with no consequences.

Stevie's a very underrated talent. He's good on the mike, he's got more charisma than people give him credit for, and he's a very capable, good worker who can hold his own. In terms of ex-ECW guys, he's one of the absolute better ECW workers.

One of the very best, actually, considering the general quality of the ECW star.

You know what? I'd even go so far as to say that in terms of actual technical ability and psychology, he's BETTER than Rob Van Dam.

I may get shit for that, but I believe my words are true. RVD might be a more *entertaining* wrestler, but he's a generally shitty worker who doesn't know psychology very well. Stevie isn't that flawed.

The chances of him being pushed are Kate Moss thin. He's a great talent, but NEVER will be pushed again.

Why not? They should find SOMETHING to do with him.

Hell, pair him off with someone and have him win the tag titles. It's not as if the RAW tag division isn't anything but an abysmal mess right now. Might as well put together some of the midcard talent to fill out the ranks.

Se7en, you are really right in saying that Stevie is better than RVD. This guy could definitely be paired off with the likes of Lance Storm and form a really good tag team. Maybe even a new faction could start with Storm, Richards, and a very long and forgotten Tommy Dreamer who's getting a good comeback. Their title: The Wrecking Crue. Just a thought.

If any, any of yuo even try to push over with a feather that Hardy isn't a good worker while I'm posting, I'll personally embarass you. Just last month Matt had a phenomenal match in a Heat main event against Lance Storm. The both of them clicked really well, and if they got to practice the routine at a few house shows, they would have been ready to make a match of the year entry at a PPV. Long story short, Matt's got the look, the charisma, the mic skills, ring psychology and in ring ability to hold ANY top belt in ANY promotion. Just remember that.

I would never just randomly plug www.stevierichards.com or www.fattitude.net. That would be completely and utterly wrong.

I was just boggled at the possibilities of Stevie and Fat Hardy fans pictures popping up at BOTH www.StevieRichards.com AND www.Fattitude.net.

It would be like that time I went to Spooky World when Dark and Lita Hardy were there. I wore my StevieRichards.com shirt because there were no www.fattitude.net shirts yet. I was in the camp of the enemy.

Although when I met Matt Hardy at the Mall, www.Fattitude.net was on Hiatus. Man that would have been a great photo op. Matt Hardy, a Foodcourt, and about 500 fans..... I still kick myself for no camera

Addition!!! If anyone wants a sneak peek at a Fattitude page in the works Click here (http://www.8rape.com/cringe.html) Feel free to add possible captions for the pictures
