First of, relax! This did not happen and no one else has speculated about this. I did just read that he is pissed with Boston because they tried to sneak a claus into his contract extension saying if he got hurt he would lose his contract. He is pissed. He is also a free agent at the end of the year. If he is free, how would you feel if the yanks signed him? There are some hardcore yanks fans here. Wadd? what would you think?
Personally I am mixed. I would like to have an Ace like that again. This is sort of like when the Yanks got clemens. Everyone hated him before as well. Pedro is a hell of a pitcher and a fierce competitor. I would rather have him then face him. It will be interesting. I wonder if he would even think about joining the Yanks,

I hate Roger Clemens, always did. I sided with Piazza in that whole debacle, Roger is/was/always will be an ass.

Hated Wade Boggs, repsected him, but still was uncomfortable with him as a Yankee (and snickered as Charlie Hayes caught the pop-up that sent him into MLB film lore, when it should have been Boggs' ball to catch).

I HATE Gary Sheffield & Kevin Brown, but now have to live with them. I almost hope they both piss off George & get shipped out of town at year's end...after they win the World Series.

But I simply would NOT stand for Pedro in pinstripes. I couldn't even root for him to do well in his starts, while still secretly hoping he falls down the dugout steps & breaks his leg like I do with Brown. Not to mention this bullshit where he knocks down everyone he feels like, without any fear of retribution. David Segui deserved to get drilled because Javy Lopez took Pedro deep? It's early in the year, maybe he's not in full season shape. I understand that Martinez usually gives up 5 HRs a year & they're all to lefties. But is it so impossible to live with if a HR hitter take you deep on opening day?

I hope the next time he drill someone for a teammate having the nerve to take him deep results in Manny being beaned. Then Manny kicks the shit out of Pedro & his 150 pound cowardly ass in the clubhouse.
