....but it was worth the trip.

Today my friend and I decided to take a trip up to O.C.C. The weather wasn't the best, but it was worth it. I suggest anyone that is interested in meeting the guys and don't mind waiting around for a while to take a trip up to Orange County for yourselves. If you want to see the bikes, you'll be disappointed. All the people who work there are super nice. Paulie was a half hour late to a lunch meeting and still took time to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans. Maybe on a nicer day it would be a bit better to visit.

I don't know who these people are, but I'm convinced that guy with the white, gay biker-moustache manhandled me when I was just a wee lad.

no, we probably wouldnt have met them at all if they were. i wish it was a nicer day though. i saw so many people come and go, it was un real. they just parked, bought something in the gift shop, and left. why go all that way just to buy something you can buy online?

the scary planes are, I think, called the C-5 [G-5?] Galaxy. Basically an enormous payload and troop carrying plane, those things are Big and when they fly around here from McGuire [i think they have them, maybe the prop version, which I think is the C-130 Gunship [Help!]. they are LOUD.

The pics look great sweetie! I'm glad you had a great time. I've heard the guys are really great from others who've also been there and seen them. That they're decent and down to earth, which is really cool.

McGuire doesn't have C-5's, they have C-141's and KC-10 refuelers. The 141's are outdated.. the C-5's are much bigger.

That is Stewart Air Force base, I know cause it is like 20 minutes from my house. And I have been going by OCC for years on my way out to the Poconos but have never stopped by there. Looks like it might be fun...

It's funny how they always say in interviews that they try to discourage people from coming out and doing stuff like that, but that they're so friendly if you do.

And where's SG to get all jealous of Amy and Paulie?

Awesome!!

Are the guys normally around or were you just lucky to catch them there?

My friend and I really want to go. Was it on a weekend or are they only there during the weekdays?

Why did you have to stand around for 5 hours?

I KISS YOU!

the best time to catch them is 12 when they go to lunch...5 is when they leave but unless you want to jump in front of a hummer like my friend did, closing time isnt the best time to catch up with them....as i said, i am sure if it was a nicer day they would have spent more time with the fans. my friend has gone there a few times and has been pretty lucky. you just have to know when theyll be there and when theyll be gone, there is a schedule on their website.

we chose to hang around the whole time just so we wouldnt miss anyone...i have a good time no matter where i am, so i didnt mind.

and this was yesterday that i went, i am not sure if theyre there on the weekends

It's a good show. I've seen it a few times. The dad is always getting pissed and yelling at his son, which results in his son getting equally pissed. Inbetween tools getting thrown across the garage, a beautiful custom motorcyle is made. I don't have any desire to ride or own one, but one can appreciate the craftsmanship and art that goes into it.

This is the only reality TV I watch, and I love this show, which is sick because the most complicated thing I can build is an omelette. The father/son stuff is so sweet and genuine...the petty jealousy and one-upsmanship between Paul senior and junior. ... the occasional moment when feckless Mikey does something to make the old man laugh, as in the Christmas tree episode. Great, wonderfully real television.
