Greg "Opie" Hughes later grabbed the mic and told the crowd that they've "been doing some great radio shows for each other. We've been cracking each other up for the last year-and-a-half, too bad you guys can't check it out.. But one of the first stories we're gonna tell when we get back on satellite radio, is my little trip with (O&A regular) Rich Vos to South Beach where I watched him make-out - this is a true story - with a 57-year-old albino grandmother. We have so many stories to tell, but I think we're gonna start our new career with that one."

I think it might worthwhile to look into investing in some Sirius stock, we all know what kind of loyal following OnA have, I am sure there will be a HUGE amount of exposure when they do come back. Just a thought.

Someone told me a few minutes ago that they heard on the radio that O&A are on the verge of a contract with Sirius. I haven't heard this anywhere else, except for a few comments on the Sirius (http://messages.yahoo.com/?action=q&board=SIRI) messageboard on Yahoo. I'd like to see more information about this.

I have Sirus and it's pretty cool. My luck is O&A will go to XM and I'll have to buy another unit.

The good thing is you can have a car and house cradle so you can take a main unit and carry it to your car and bring it back, etc.

the boys' contract ends on 6/1. After that they are fair game, and can be guests anywhere. As most of you might know Op was on in buffalo last week, I'm not sure if that is an infinity station, but he was on. I remember that after the whole Janet Jackson debacle came out, there was talk about the FCC having control over satellite the same way they have control over AM/FM stations. This happened during the FCC hearings. I believe i read this in one of Anthony's rants that he wrote.

anyway my Brit friend had me investigate the history of radio in Englad and Holy Shit did they once have a HUGE Pirate Radio System that broadcast from Vessels out on the water.

People, radio people, got so fed up with the BBC Radio's lovely selection of news and educational and Non-Music programming that people literally bought big vessels, threw say a 10 kW transmitter and some antennas, and blast their signal right at the island [you can somewhat 'shape' the direction of broadcast from FM, if you wish].

this way you can hear your favorite station from coast to coast without interruption in digital quality for under 15 dollars a month....that's hundreds of UNCENSORED songs for the price of a cd...plus you can take the device out of your car and into the office...

In my last two jobs, I've worked with people who have a "legit" terresterial broadcast job, and then moonlight with satellite.

I want to add a couple of comments here...

The fact that O&A are appearing on other radio shows before the contract is over is NOT THAT BIG A DEAL.

You just can't announce that you've signed a deal elsewhere while you're still under contract somewhere else. Imagine if Derek Jeter, with 2 years left on his contract, said during a press conference tonight that he was going to play for the Red Sox. That's a breach.

Look, if you're wondering how Imus can get away with O&A on his show, if it's legit, is simple.

1) Infinity doesn't view satellite as that big of a threat, considering they accept advertising from them.

2) Ratings or not, WFAN is the highest-billing station in the country. Stern or not, WFAN makes the most money for Infinity.

3) Don Imus is the anchor of WFAN.

4) When the lion wants steak, you don't shake the cage.

LAL, I thought I was the only one to do that.

My guess as to why Jeff did it was because I think he was probably thinking of that 404 error web page joke that came out a few months ago where people were sending it around to one another. If you typed in "weapons of mass destruction" in Google you would get a spoof website as repoted here (http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,31500-12366430,00.html).

So my thinking on this, is that since that spoof website that made that has received a huge amount of hits, that he would capitalize on that by adding it into the meta tags.
