Season 4 is the start of the golden era:

Kamp Krusty
A Streetcar Named Marge
Homer the Heretic
Itchy and Scratchy the Movie
Mr. Plow
Homer's Triple Bypass
Marge vs. the Monorail
Last Exit to Springfield (arguably the best episode ever made)
The Front
Krusty gets Kancelled

The show stayed at this high level until at least season 9, and then the overall quality declined

The rest of the movie would be mostly filled with Lobo wiping out villages of people, yelling at hospital patients and head-butting mimes.

Seasons 4, 5 and 6 are absolute perfection. No flaws.

Everything before and after (Up through season 10) is still pretty fucking good, but can't compare.
