I love this guy. Star Trek and his acting style aside, I think he is hilarious.

The Priceline commercials were classic. The new one with Leonard Nimoy is great. He is in a Wendy's commercial and is Hi-Larious. He was the best part of that Showtime movie.

I just read that he will be playing a "power-mad" lawyer in some upcoming episodes of The Practice, which I've never watched, but will tune in to see him chew up the scenery no doubt.

He is "the Great One"!! I like the commercial with the woman who falls asleep and in her dream she is the middle of a long line a dancing Shatners. He's in the commercial for all of about a second, yet he takes the whole thing up several levels even then.

If you haven't seen "Free Enterprise", I recommend it highly. Shatner in a movie where he plays William Shatner is just gold!!

Montreal-born William Shatner says he wants to be prime minister of Canada, the New Zealand newspaper Web site Stuff.co.nz reported.

The 77-year-old Star Trek actor revealed his ambition in response to a letter from a fan who urged him to put himself forward for governor general of Canada.

"My intention is to be prime minister of Canada, not governor general, which is mainly a ceremonial position," he reportedly wrote.

Shatner added: "I must, with my deepest thanks, turn down your honourable intent to advance me as Governor General. Besides which, I don't have time to be Governor General. ... As Prime Minister I can lead Canada into even greater exploits."

Can you imagine how awesome that would be?

There's no fucking way that's not just hidden camera footage of Shatner's life in the 70's. I refuse to believe that's actually a funded and scripted film or TV show.

His mastery of esperanto, however, is very real:

That's from a movie called Impulse also known as Want A Ride Little Girl? Shatner played a pervert/psychopath of some sort. It also featured Oddjob from Goldfinger.

This may have been Shatner's worst 70s movie (and toupee) rivalling even the great Pray For the Wildcats: featuring the all-star cast of Andy Griffith, Robert Reed, Marjoe Gortner, Angie Dickinson and Lorraine Gary, Mrs. Brodie from Jaws.

Twitter sensation Shit My Dad Says is becoming a TV pilot with William Shatner set to play the larger-than-life dad at the center of it.

The casting of Shatner lifts the contingency on CBS' multicamera family comedy project based on the Twitter account, which has enlisted more than 1.16 million followers since launching in August and has made its creator, Justin Halpern, an Internet star.

The pilot, executive produced by "Will & Grace" creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, was originally set up at CBS with a script commitment in November. Now, with Shatner on board, it has been greenlighted to pilot.

William Shatner Has Made $600 Million Shilling Priceline.com (http://www.torontosun.com/entertainment/celebrities/2010/04/30/13774051.html)

LOS ANGELES — If anyone has noticed the soaring share price of Priceline.com, it’s an easy bet that Canadian actor William Shatner had something to do with it.

Unofficial word on Wall Street is that Shatner, who was initially paid in Priceline shares when he became pitchman for the Internet travel website startup in 1997, is now worth a cool $600 million.

No wonder he looked so happy singing a duet of Total Eclipse of the Heart on Lopez Tonight the other week.

Priceline’s shares, which at one point plummeted to $1.80 during the dot-com crisis in 2000, are now trading close to $300 apiece. And although the company won’t disclose how many shares (or salary) Shatner receives, it’s presumed to be plenty. After all, it’s Shatner’s personality driven ads for the website that has made it so popular.

William Shatner announced that he's going to direct a documentary called "The Captains" about Capt. Kirk, which is to say a documentary about Capt. Shatner. Shatner has never been shy about talking about himself, and now he gets to direct and executive-produce himself as well. Here's more:

"A feature documentary following the life and career of William Shatner, The Captains will explore Shatner's Montreal roots and his early career in Stratford, Ontario, as well as the extraordinary change in circumstances caused by the serendipitous casting for the role of Captain James T. Kirk. The film will be directed by Shatner, who will also executive produce with David Zappone and Craig Thompson."
The film is will be produced this year and will air in winter 2011 on Movie Central.

Free Enterprise 2 gets Alicia Witt? (http://www.totalfilm.com/news/free-enterprise-2-gets-alicia-witt)

Free Enterprise 2, the follow-up to the William Shatner-starring late '90s indie film, could be adding Alicia Witt and Eliza Dushku to its cast list.

Both geek-loving actresses have recently been Tweeting about a 12 year old movie that not many people will have seen, hinting that they could be involved in the geek-quel.

Somebody who is definitely back is William Shatner, clearly eager not to be overlooked again as he was with J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot.

Not that his return will be that demanding – Shatner’s just required to play himself, as he was in the original. Except with a twist, of course. In the first film, a duo of wannabe filmmakers and Trekkies meet Shatner and discover he’s not who they expected him to be.

Shooting on the sequel, which is described as Swingers for sci-fi lovers, is expected to shoot this July. Isaiah Mustafa will also appear.

Star Trek- 12 movies, 5 television series and 1 cartoon

Star Wars- 6 movies, 4 cartoons

Dude that's video of either extreme grandpa Shatner or toked up Shatner. GET OFF MY LAWN STAR WARS!

Always loved Star Trek immeasurably more than Star Wars. I'll give Star Wars credit though the first two movies are better than any Star Trek has to offer other than Wrath Of Khan. WOK in my opinion is on the level of Empire at the very least. Undiscovered Country > Return Of The Jedi.

There's no question though the series put Star Trek way over the top. TNG gets better and better with age and was a benchmark for science fiction television. DS9 is one of the most underrated television shows of all time.

The new series of movies have the potential to outshine Lucas visually absolutely, that I agree with Shats on.

And please... Seven Of Nine >>>>>>>>> Princess Lea any day of the week.
