maybe we're just getting older, and falling out of the (woefully inept) demographic ....

maybe there was someone seven years ago bitching about the demise over the 'higgins boys & grueber,' 'almost live' and those great shows that alan harvey and marc maron hosted ..... with these new shows 'south park,' 'the daily show' and 'pretty vacant' ....

things change: sometimes you get the 'chapelle show' or 'insomia,' but ya gotta suck it up with 'mad tv' or 'that's my bush'

eh

I think there may have been a thread about this last year or the year before, but let me ask the question anyway?

What shows do you want to see on Comedy Central?

Off the top of my head...

1. Get A Life
2. Ben Stiller Show
3. The Ernie Kovacs Show
4. Fridays (even though it was an awful show)
5. The Weird Al Yankovic Saturday Morning Show

Weird Al's Saturday morning was something that always seto me to be a rip off of Pee Wee's Playhouse. But with that beign said, I used to watch it happily.

kenny roger's jackass was fucking hysterical. a tired bit, an overblown show, made a great bit. most of the later show suck but madtv is still good as background noise.

I'll never forgive Comedy Central for doing whatever it was that no one sees the old Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episodes with Joel Hodgson.

And the Turkey-Day Merry-Thon is sorely missed.

yeah, mst3k was never quite the same after it left comedy central. the Kenny rogers jackass is still the funniest thing Mad TV has ever done in my opinion.

Comedy Central is pretty good on Sunday nights after midnight. you get some random cartoons that never seem to be in any official rotation (clerks, duckman, some college cartoon,...) and one in a while they'll throw in TV funhouse.
that was a great show

and why is it EVERY weekend, they have to show REVENGE OF THE NERDS??
(and if thats not on, they show Office space instead)

How about if they show some of the old Uncle Floyd shows. I remember as a kid I would catch him every now and then. NRBQ would be on every once in a while.

Higgens Boys and Gruber was never a series, it was just a one-off stand-up special. One of the Higgens went on to "Ellen," Gruber was on "Freaks n Geeks."

You are mistaken. The Higgins Boys and Gruber had the daily morning show on "Comedy Channel", predecessor to "Comedy Central".

Higgens Boys and Gruber was never a series

i remember it being a late afternoon/early evening daily show that would feature 'clutch cargo' episodes, skits and such ..... they had a bowl-a-rama event that was pretty entertaining ....

i miss the all day marathons as well .... mother's day with the kids in the hall was always a favourite

Ah, then I had the other comedy network that didn't have that show. I had the one done by mtv that had all the horrible sitcom reruns, as opposed to the hbo one.

I never thought I would miss 6 hours a day of SNL, until 8 hours a day of MadTV came along.

Jafter yer Killing Me!

I thought I was the only other person on this board who knew of Mr. Vivino.

Always a hack show, but as a hack Uncle Floyd was just the best; Looney Skip Rooney and Oogie. Oh man; he'd have a piano sing-along and then bring on someone like the Ramones on a typical show. Sorta like a Joe Franklin on acid. And anyone who can play *real* piano like that? Rockin.

Fucking A well Told.

I DONT AVOID I WATCH UNCLE FLOYD

Are you kidding, I was a member of Uncle Floyd Fan Club # (shit, I don't know how to do the symbol for pi)

Used to watch him every evening on U68.
Knew Scott Gordon personally. (actually, I met him a few times)He help Floyd authorize the fan club.
