All-Pro cornerback Ty Law does not want to play another game for the Patriots.
Well yeah because who would want to play for a team thats won 2 championships in 3 years...
Actually I dont even know why he wants to leave, I didnt bother reading past the 1st line but I would kill to have him on the Jets. If he is really pissed at the Pats what better place to come than New York?

Is he under contract and asking for a trade? If so I need to know what his cap hit would be to see if it would make sense.

Law is under contract with the Pats for two more seasons, and wants an extension that would make him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. He is due to earn $6.15 million in salary and a $1 million reporting bonus this year, and $8.75 million in salary plus another $1 million reporting bonus next season.
Im guessing that a yes on the contract

Well the Jets 10 mil working space would be cut to 2.85 this year. I guess for him it would be worth it though.

The Jets could be getting John Lynch I thought....Law could end up in Chicago for my beloved bears or for the hated Eagles

The Jets should focus on their LB corps
Not to say that Law isn't a great player, but the Jets' secondary is pretty good. we just suck against the run.

but we dont get near enough interceptions. i believe in the turnover ratio, and we dont get many turnovers. we can always draft LB's, but a corner of this calibur doesnt come along everyday.

A) God damn Philly is 25 mill under the cap! Holy Shit!
B) The Jets have said that they are going to go after a safety before the draft (John Lynch?) then focus on LB, CB, and other positions theyn need...I dont see them getting Law.
C) The friggin Eagles are 25 miilion dollars UNDER THE CAP!!! BASTARDS

Theyve lost several players this off season already which might be the reason for all that space. The Jets need a lot of fucking help on defense. Id rather see them improve nicely in several spots then by a mile in one spot, and then slightly in all the others
