why can't you edit thread titles?

i tried to see if there had been a thread on this before, but i got over 700 results, and gave up. so, sorry if i'm redundant.

now... why don't we have the ability to edit thread titles like we do posts? there are always misspelled thread titles that i'm sure people would like to be able to fix, but they can't. is it a tech thing, or is there another reason why things are set up this way?

just wondering...

I think it would be nice if you post something with a misspelled title, if you had one chance to fix it before anyone replied.
Id also like to be able to delete a bunch of RF messages at once instead of one at a time. Im sure they take up room somewhere. Id delete more if I had that ability.
