what local teams do you cheer for?

I live in Westchester County, about 20 min from Manhattan, usually up here Your typical sports fan roots for the yankees,rangers,knicks and giants. usually on Long Island and Queens they cheer on The Mets, Nets Jets, and Islanders. In Jersey they go for the Devils and nets but usually there are alot of Yankee fans in NJ.

I am a Ranger and Yankee fan

With that being said, if the Mets aren't playing the yanks I will root for the yanks. The same with the Giants, if there not playing the Jets I'll root for the jets. In hockey I'll root for the devils till I die, but I also like the Islanders.

i really only cheer for the Mets from the NY area. I'm an anti-Yankees fan mostly though, so I've become a big SAWX supporter.

For football i've been a Ravens fan since 1996 because i didn't want to cheer for the Giants or the Jets like all my friends.

I've always been a wierd hockey fan because I was big into it as a younger kid and was a Leafs/Whalers/Jets fan (a Doug Gilmour/Whaler/ Keith Tkachuk fan) Now that leaves me with the Leafs and two bastard Hurricane and Coyote teams

I'm an anti-Knicks fan for basketball so I kinda grew to like the Pacers and Raptors. I cheer for the Mavs now.

THANK GOD (!) someone finally spoke up for the DC area! Sheeeeeeeeeeesh! I know this is a sucky sports town, but come on people!!

The only good thing about going to those half-empty Caps games these days is you know you're with the real fans; people that have been with the team since the days of the Capital Centre.

Ok...for me: Redskins, Orioles and Caps are a given, since I've lived here all my life; outside of that, I'll root for The KC teams (Chiefs and Royals) when they aren't playing Skins or O's.

I can pretty much watch any NFL and NHL game no matter whose playing, and sometimes a baseball game.

I actually have many more teams I always root against.

My first year as a big sports follower was 86. I hate nothing more than a wagonier, which is why I'm a big Yankee fan. Its why I HATE the giants and was a Bronco fan until Elway retired, but i always liked the Jets too. With Elway gone I could care less about the Broncos these days, But I will always like to see the Cowboys win as lone as Giant fans hate them. My hockey fandome goes back to the Islander dynasty, and I despise the neanderthal Rangers.

I dont care about basketball, but I will become a big Nets fan if they wind up in BK, eventhough I'm bored to tears by basketball.
