you're partially correct. I do agree the Devils needed to make a trade for a defensemen and the fact that they shat the bed on that does make them idiots. But to trade for Leech is just insane. Why would you trade for a washed up old timer that won't really help your team. Instead, they should have traded for Gonchar, there's an offensive minded defensemen that would have worked wonders for the Devils late in the season. But with that said I still support the team as much as ever.

Leetch??? Are YOU the fucking idiot???? No offense but Leetch is winding down an outstanding career and even though he was really not worth much the Rangers should not have treated him with the disrespect that they did by trading him. Having said that there is NOTHING that he could have contributed to the Devils. If we had picked him up (yes I am a Devils fan) he would have been as productive as Ese Tikkennen. (remember that???)

I think what you were trying to say was that there is no way in hell the Rangers would have traded the cornerstone of their franchise for the last 15 years accross the river to the Devils. That is exactly what I was saying. He would not have fit into the Devils' scheme. He is a great offensive defensmen, but he would have been a waist on the Devils who let the defense make the hits and the offense make the points.
