Cleveland Steamer anyone? (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1754514)
Likely marking an end to the Tim Couch Era after just five seasons, the Cleveland Browns on Monday night reached a contract agreement with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia, ESPN.com has learned.

I don't understand any of this. T.O. didn't want to play with Garcia. The 49ers cut Garcia. T.O. is leaving anyway.
Way to go Frisco!

Seriously, is it really necessary to refer to Garcia as "big fag"? Who cares if he is/isn't gay?

I agree with Fluff, however I also think the Giants should have picked up the big fag.

the giants have alot, they just need people to block for them.
plus they need a QB of the future, not a 34 year old starting his downswing who has concussion problems. shit he is 3 years older than collins

the giants have alot
except a qb and an rb. you can live with collins if you get a top rate RB. til then the giants have a tight end and a DE.

and a couple real solid wide outs, and now some good LB's, and if healthy, a better secondary
oh yea those things.
and the RB thing is settled, its gonna be dayne and barber, and for some reason, i think dayne will be so amped it just may work

except a qb and an rb.
you should really stfu about subjects you know NOTHING about. or just sports in general. tiki's vs. curtis is a toss-up. martin's subpar seasons are no better than tiki's fumbles. and anyone who knew ANYTHING about giants football last year knew the qb didnt have an o-line.
keep dreaming chad's another namath and leave the giants talk to those who know.

id rather have barber than martin just cause his recieving ability, the giants use that as a key.
collins led the NFL in passing in 2000 and was like 3rd in 02
plus we dont even need to run, throw barber and schokcey screens in place of them, like NE does

ill take his side on this, pennington is better than namath was, and in 3 years, it wont even be close
Namath has more INT's than TD, he wasnt THAT good

Face it guys. Broadway Joe was avg at best He had more INT the TD'S if it wasen't for SB 3 and the guarentee. Namath would not even be mentioned. Chad is much better.

I was just cranky this morning. I just throw fag in with other slurs and they always make me cringe. Thats just me though.
On the other hand, where does Couch go now and does he stay and play 2nd Stringer again or does Holcomb play it now. Holcomb really did well last year. Not great but good for the Browns standards.

But he Didn't have good knees. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, but didna. Argument over.
And if the Steelers are smart they sign Couch, and let him air it out. With Timmy's arm, and Pittsburgh's recievers, I smell more than 6 wins.
Now if they'd only close the deal on a couple of Corners.

you're kidding me right? first of all it was his first year and he didnt even play the every game. secondly he was playing against the best offense in the game at that time. he will get the jets to the superbowl and we will win it under him, that will be his biggest of his life. no one exdpected the jets to beat the raiders, they were playing against a great team. the jets were just upstarts who got into the playoffs on sure dumb luck, if vinatieri didnt hit that fg against miami then miami wouldve gone to the playoffs.

first of all, it didnt matter that it was chad's first year on the field. he was coming off a slaughter of indianapolis. and what did oakland's offense have to do with it? chad bit it against the DEFENSE. it was the defense that picked off his passes. it was the defense that laid out the jet receivers after every bad pass by chad.
since you have a short memory, let me tell you lots of people chose the jets to win the game. and they didnt get into the playoffs with dumb luck. it was norv turner's awful playcalling. and theres NOTHING lucky about venitieri's kicks.

by alot of people do you mean namath? cuz thats the only person i know wh odid. marino chose the raiders on both the cbs pregame show and hbo's nfl show, alongside all of the analysts on each show. and the same with the fox pregame. what alot of people said was that if the jets get past the raiders they expect them to be in the superbowl. who has the sort term memory? the jets lost to the superbowl bound raiders. the best team in the afc that year. and blaming norv turner is right, but dont say the blame is all on chad. the entire jets team fucked up that game, not just one man.
and talk to vinatieri about his first kick at the last superbowl and tell him that theres no luck involved.

the raiders were not the overwhelming favorites in that game. i dont care if marino and his co-hosts all picked the raiders or even if fox did too. those 3 shows dont account for everybody. for you to say EVERYBODY picked the raiders is just an excuse to coverup chad(and the jets) poor performance. the jets were hot going into that game, and there were plenty of reasons to believe they were gonna win. but a big reason why they lost, is chad.
venetieri doesnt kick well in reliant stadium. thats just the facts. look it up. no luck. besides, he doesnt miss at home.
and what kind of a jets fan are you to say they got in the playoffs that year because of dumb luck?

an honest one. you want more honesty the mets wouldnt have gotten to the series in 2000 if they had to play the braves. there is nothing wrong with being an honest fan. i didnt go into any season this year thinking any of my teams were going to perform well. the mets have gotten better defensively but without pitching they have ntohing. the knicks went into the season over paying role players so they were strapped to the cap. and the jets lost coles, morton, hall, and chad was injured for 'we didnt know how long'.
and the jets were not hot going into oakland. they crushed indianopolis ( a horrible defensive team) and green bay. you cant say any team is hot in the nfl with only 3 straight wins. we lost to bears, jags and browns for godsakes, how the fuck can you say we shouldve beaten the raiders?
