Back from Cancun!

Skidmark and I took a quick trip to Cancun. We left Thursday and came back late Sunday.

It was an all-inclusive resort (Grand Palladium) so we definitely took advantage of the bar! The only down-side was that it was a family trip so it was sometimes a big fuster cluck to organize 27 people for the obligatory family photos! But when we hung out alone, we had a great time!

The weather was great! It was sunny and warm. I managed to dodge the sunburn bullet.

Your postcards should arrive any day now!

I am SO not a sun person. I am very, very fair. My favorite time of day is after 4pm, so I had no problem sleeping until 2pm after a late night. If I wanted to take a dip in the pool, I'd slather myself in spf 48 (I also wore my ronfez.net bucket hat). OR I'd just hang at the well-shaded bar and write postcards.

I had my fun after sundown.

Welcome back! I love Cancun. I have two good friends who live their with their kid and I get to stay with them for free, which is nice - but one time I need to spoil myself and stay at one of the resorts.

Did you stay in the hotel zone, or did you risk it by going over the REAL real Cancun, with it's Wal-Mart, Bullfighting, and KFC's??!

Did you make it to any of the ruins?

you didn't miss too much, and who'd want to spend 6 hours on a bus during vacation. just wish somebody warned us back in 1988...

I stayed at Club Med in Cancun last year around the same time with one of my guy friends from college. It was a great time! We also had the all inclusive package. Lots of topless hot chicks, too. Cancun is just a beautiful place. I waterskiied with the alligators for the first time in my life, and I was so proud to not have fallen at all. I'm hoping to go back sometime this year.
