Anyone else have problems w/Spybot Search&Destroy

I've used it for a while (along with Ad-Aware) to keep crap off my PC, but for the past few days I can't seem to update the software. I click "Download Updates" and it just sits there.

Anyone else have this happen?

Seems like it's hanging there. After minimizing it, I can't restore it.

When I turn mine on it stays minimized and I can't open it. Has been this way for a couple weeks.

I've had probs when I tried to DL from Europe (like you are doing). Set the drop down to the US then download.

I second the downloading from Europe hypothesis, I have had no problems with US downloads.

i recently used Spybot and 'not realizing' what exactly to keep or discard i discarded everything it found. Had to run an XP system restore to the previous day cause afterwards i couldn't get IE to work...

talk to a 'techie' guy in work and he preferes Adaware instead. So i downloaded Adaware and deleted everything it found but no problems afterward. Per the 'techie' guy Adaware is more sensitive and is better at keeping away from important files. So far, so good and we'll see how it goes...

I had been using Spybot and Ad-aware in unison, but for the last week or so, Spybot just freezes up and won't function when I try to open it. I think I'm just going to dump Spybot. It never found anything new after I ran Ad-aware, Ad-aware updates MUCH more often, and it runs smoother with my system than Spybot.
