I got into the books when I was about 12 or 13. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. I especially loved the art work on the book covers. I have collected the hard cover editions for that very reason. Anyone have any Hardy Boy Book memories.

I read all of the original volumes (I believe there were 40 of them). I even have a near complete set of first editions.
I read all of the "Hardy Boys Casefiles" that were released in the late 80s / early 90s.
Yes, I was a HUGE Hardy Boys mark back in the day.
It's you Bobsy Twins fans that make me sick.

I enjoyed them, but I remember Enclopedia Brown better than the Hardys.

Joe was always my favorite of the two.
I always found Chet irritating, but necessary because he had the "jalopy".
I remember the TV series with Parker Stevenson, Sean Cassidy and Pamela Sue Martin as Nancy Drew.

I think my favorite one was where some magician made the boys' father disappear and they rapelled into a castle from a hot air balloon to rescue him.

I was definitely a "Joe guy" too.
Chet was ok. By the way, the name of the jalopy was "Queenie", wasn't it?
