The 49ers have just completed a trade with the Baltimore Ravens that will send wide receiver Terrell Owens to the Ravens in exchange for their second round (51st overall) selection in the upcoming draft.

The addition of the second round pick gives San Francisco three selections in the first 51 picks of the draft -- the highest count in the NFL at this time.

And I guess if you can get Owens for the 51st pick it makes sense, but why have this cap hit when you dont even have a QB that cant throw the ball this any skill? A WR can only be as good as the guy throwing to him. Owens aint Randy Moss now..

i think the ravens have a pretty good qb in anthony wright. that comeback against the seahawks impressed me a great deal. but i dont see how this fits either. TO is a west coast style reciever, and i dont think the ravens will implement a west coast style offense any time soon. if the ravens were looking for a reciever who is likely to cause trouble they shouldve just gotten keyshawn. but if jamaal lewis is playing next season i think TO will be just as upset as if he were in san fran. he shouldve gone to the eagles.

Owens will be on the Eagles within 2 days....he got tricked. He has a no trade clause and was asked if he would okay 'the trade.' He was a dumbass and thought they were talking about the eagles...turns out Baltimore stepped in at the last minute with a better offer.....this is going to get very interesting...he does not want to be in Baltimore and is pissed about it.

If you get NBC10 Philadelphia, you can see a Terrell Owens interview tonight at 11:30. Apparently, he already turned down a long term contract with the Ravens, says he won't show up for their physical, doesn't want to play the Ravens, and still hopes he will become a free agent and play for the Eagles.

Under any other circumstances I'd be disgusted, but I'm an Eagles fan desperate for a WR so he's my hero.

The Eagles already traded Feeley to the Dolphins. And considering what the Eagles offered the 49ers, I'm not sure they'd be willing to give up their first rounder. I'm sure they're just hoping he's declared a free agent.

oh, i fucking forgot about that. Well i'd even take the Eagles second rounder (even though they are being cheap and only offered a third rounder). Hopefully the Eagles want the cancer bad enough and just didn't want to spend money on something they could've gotten for free.

I don't think TO is worth that much becasue he is honestly just average. He has gained more notoriety because of the Sharpie's and the Pom-Pom's. Conversly, he has an attitude and brings a certain spunk to this team that we desperately. He is much better than the garbage we have at WR now. Our only shining light is Freddie Mitchell. TO would be an upgrade and we can release our cancer somewhere else. The way it is here, if Pinkston and Thrash are with the team next season, there will be hell to pay.
